When I created this, I was a teenager trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life after high school. Creating this lead me to a path of applying to colleges, taking journalism classes and learning how to write stories for myself.
I made this statement about my zine/magazine when I first started getting into news in 2012, six years ago.
“punx and ska. news. local stuff. comics. music. current events. I, Zendra, created this zine to help bands out, help out local stores here in SA and let everyone know what's going on not only in the world but here in Texas. because as we all know, the news doesn't tell us everything.
I didn’t know a lot about what I was doing, I was just trying to figure everything out on my own and get into the newspaper business somehow. I enjoyed watching the news and reading it and sharing stories that I thought people didn’t search to find.
