đź“Ł Writers & Photographers Wanted! Be Part of Our First Magazine Issue!
Hey everyone! I’m working on launching the first issue of a brand-new print magazine coming out this June, and I'm looking for writers and photographers who are passionate about the outdoors and telling underrepresented stories.
We’re building something meaningful from the ground up—focused on diversity, inclusion, and representation in outdoor spaces—and I need your voices, experiences, and talents to help make it happen. 🙌
Here’s what we’re looking for:
🔹 Featured Articles
Word Count: 1,000–4,000 words
Content: Deep dives that highlight underrepresented groups in their pursuit of rewarding work in the outdoors (nonprofits, individuals, small businesses, initiatives, etc.)
Photos: High-res (300 DPI), landscape preferred; full/half-page dimensions
🔹 Short Articles
Word Count: 500–1,200 words
Content: Focus on people, places, gear, national parks, travel stories, or inspirational pieces related to the outdoors and diversity
Photos: Same specs as above
🔹 Wellness Articles
Word Count: 500–2,000 words
Content: Wellness (yoga, therapy, mental health, fitness) in BIPOC communities
Photos: Reflective of wellness settings and stories; high-res for print
🔹 Outdoor Photography Feature
Content: Visual storytelling of minorities engaging in outdoor activities—camping, hiking, working, etc.
Photos: High-quality, print-ready images for full-page or double-page spreads

Resolution: 300 DPI minimum
File Types: JPG, PNG, or TIFF
Dimensions:
Full-page: 8.5 x 11 in (2550 x 3300 px)
Half-page: 8.5 x 5.5 in (2550 x 1650 px)
Two-page: 17 x 11 in (5100 x 3300 px)
DSLR or mirrorless camera preferred (with low ISO, sharp aperture, and clear depth)
