KJVI got its authorization for the construction permit from the Federal Communication Commission in January 1, 2014. By March 2015 the project was sold to its current ownership. After months of work on December 29,2015 KJVI, received all requirements necessary and meet the Federal Communications Commission licensing all al the requiements granted. The FCC granted KJVI to start program tests and operation. KJVI FCC license was granted to broadcast to cover Robert Lee, in its coverage area in West Texas KJVI which covers Ballinger, Bronte, Carlsbad, Grape Creek, Miles, Norton, Rowena, San Angelo, and Tennyson. KJVI officially launched on air in December 8, 2016. KJVI programming is a mix of music and genres that provides listeners with a variety.
