Our ninth year in the desert with Toyota at Night in the Country may have been the best yet. Once a summer, Night in the Country transforms the quiet Nevada farmland into the place for country music. Activating for title sponsor Toyota, we were on hand at the festival to bring the brand space to life. We produced and managed all of Toyota’s branded elements including the VIP recharge lounge featuring a misting station, photo booth and spin-to-win prize wheel.

At 3 AM on July 24, Salt Lake got the news that it would officially host the 2034 Winter Olympics. We were part of the magic at Washington Square Park in downtown Salt Lake, where we worked with KSL and the City to lay out the event footprint, build out the staging, design sound and lighting, and provide LED screens to stream the announcement from Paris to a crowd of thousands. It was a spectacle like no other, and Salt Lake is thrilled that the Games will be back in ten short years!

Red Bull Air Race is unlike any competition out there: skilled pilots weave high-performance racing planes through an aerial course at speeds eclipsing 250 mph.

Air Race will always be one of our favorite past projects. In addition to executing Air Races in the U.S. at stadium tracks like Texas, Las Vegas, and Indianapolis Motor Speedways, Dragonfli brought the races to the heart of cities in New York and San Diego. In 2010, Dragonfli was the national agency responsible for all aspects of Red Bull Air Race NYC, including permitting, vendor contracting, operations and overseeing the spectator experience for 40,000 fans each day of the event. We were also part of the international team running events across the US, Canada and the UAE that year.

We're heading into the first round of playoff games this weekend for the National Lacrosse League! It's an exciting match-up, with two teams whose games we've produced all year squaring off in San Diego: the San Diego Seals versus the Panther City Lacrosse Club. We'll be providing full broadcast production, producing and directing the games live to ESPN+ and TSN in Canada. Neither San Diego nor Panther City have won a championship before, and each team has its longstanding league veteran player. It's sure to be an exciting game--tune in to nll.com on April 27 to watch it all play out!

In winter 2019, we teamed up with CLIF and Protect Our Winters to produce the first-ever CLIF Studio from the Burton U.S. Open in Vail, Colorado. The CLIF Studio hosted three days of interviews about climate change, produced live to Facebook and Instagram, with athletes, politicians, influencers and activists. Hosting a live broadcast allowed CLIF to reach an audience beyond the event footprint, delivering a targeted message from a relevant backdrop. The CLIF Studio delivered over 300k video views to live and posted content and over 600k media impressions.

Earlier this month, we supported Woodward and the 43 Institute for the Ken Block 4/3 Day Block Party at Woodward Park City. The event commemorated Ken Block’s contributions to the action and motorsports communities and supported the 43 Institute’s mission to create opportunity for those without support for growth and success.

We provided live production services for the event, including a three-camera shoot, media content management, live audio integration, and run of show management. The video program was shared to the big screens and monitors inside Woodward for attendees.

Congratulations to the teams and athletes behind the Natural Selection Tour stop in Revelstoke this month! Jason Eder, our Brand Manager, was part of the crew for a second year, partnering with operations professionals from around North America to bring this one-of-a-kind competition to life. Riders spent the first day just outside the boundary of Revelstoke Mountain Resort and a second day of competition in the rugged backcountry of the Selkirk Mountains. We were thrilled to be a part of the International Biathlon Union’s World Cup at Soldier Hollow two weeks ago, acting as the broadcast partner to Eurovision/EBU. This was only the second time a World Cup event was held at Soldier Hollow, the site of the 2002 Winter Games.

Our team oversaw the construction and management of the television compound that featured production trucks, temporary offices, and edit cabins. We took on additional duties from the local organizing committee with television platform builds and cabling across the 5 kilometer courses.

The production had 30 cameras, a live drone, and 25+ mics to cover the unique sounds of the biathlon shooting range, allowing for full coverage of this premier event for an audience of millions around the world.

The Toyota U.S. Grand Prix returned to Mammoth Mountain in California for the second and final stop of the season, with ski and snowboard pros giving it their all on the halfpipe and slopestyle courses. We were thrilled to be back on snow with US Ski and Snowboard, working to design and install the height meters along the halfpipe. Congratulations to all the teams and athletes involved in another amazing Grand Prix season.

As we prepare to produce the 2024 IBU World Cup, we're looking back at the 2022 Biathlon Youth & Jr. World Championships, which we broadcast from the Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Midway, UT. Over 325 of the best biathletes in Youth (ages 15-18) and Junior (ages 19-21) categories competed in individual, sprint, pursuit and relay disciplines.

Our team was on hand to provide all of the live broadcast capabilities, including engineering, equipment and personnel for multiple shows each day throughout the week of competition. With 16-camera coverage for seven days of competition, the Championships were streamed to biathlonworld.com and eurovisionsports.tv. The competition received over five million viewers in Europe, surpassing viewership expectations fivefold.

Last week, we were on-site at the Golden 1 Center with Lexus dealers, activating for a memorable night with the Sacramento Kings, our fourth of ten planned activations. The centerpiece of our activation included laser engraving cell phone wallets for Kings fans, the artwork of which was designed by Franceska Gámez, a local Sacramento artist. The Kings took home the win over the Denver Nuggets, and fans took home one-of-a-kind Kings wallets, featuring their names and some with the Kings' slogan, "Light the Beam."

Maine is known for a few things: national parks, enchanting coastlines, lobsters, rugged mountains, and even more rugged winter roads. In 2014, Red Bull developed Frozen Rush and hired our team to build the venue and manage operations and logistics for the iconic event.

900-horsepower off-road trucks rallied down the slopes of Sunday River Resort in Maine as drivers raced head-to-head over jumps, race gates and down the icy ski slopes. It was a wild event with over 10,000 spectators amidst the truly frozen temps. We were honored to be a part of the event, which ran through 2016.

The National Lacrosse League is heading into week eight of regular season play, and we're in the thick of our third season producing games for four of the league's western teams. We provide full broadcast production, producing and directing live game programming to ESPN+ as well as local networks in each team market.

Over the last three years, we've streamlined our systems and produced over 50 games each season for the San Diego Seals, Colorado Mammoth, Panther City Lacrosse Club, and the Las Vegas Desert Dogs. We use a remote production (REMI) model for most games, which maximizes efficiency with limited staff onsite, while we produce the games from our SLC studio.

In this season of gratitude and giving, we’re excited to once again partner with the Utah Toyota Dealers for the annual Toyota Fill the Truck Food Drive. Embarking on a 12-event activation series over four weeks, the Toyota Fill the Truck Food Drive aimed to make a substantial impact on the community by addressing food insecurity. A dedicated team of brand ambassadors greeted Smith’s shoppers, who donated an incredible 6,546lbs of food to the Utah Food Bank.

It was a huge weekend at Copper Mountain in Colorado for the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix as athletes from around the world competed in the first US FIS Freeski & Snowboard World Cup of the season. Our team built out the venue with several key branding elements: we designed and installed the 22ft Xfinity height meters along the halfpipe and built the Visa Big Air and Toyota U.S. Grand Prix finishing structures at the base of each venue which held the announcer's hub, DJ booth, and the venue and video control.

The excitement around last month's annular eclipse brought us back to our work during the total solar eclipse of 2017. The 2017 solar eclipse was a moment unlike anything most in the US had seen. Dragonfli Media produced and provided an online video platform for NASA’s Solar Eclipse Livestream, so even those outside the band of totality could experience the eclipse. The livestream saw 12.1 million unique viewers and over 3 million concurrent streams for the celestial event of the decade.

There is nothing quite like the speed and physicality of a rugby match. We've been a part of the game since the inception of Major League Rugby, and we were thrilled to get the call to provide full broadcast production services for the USA Eagles’ incredible match against France's Stade Toulousain. The match was broadcast live to Fox Sports in the US and to The Rugby Channel for global viewers. We coordinated with a French talent team calling the game from across the Atlantic, and Dragonfli provided all broadcast facilities, tech and crew.

Football season is in full swing this fall in the Mountain West. As part of our work with Peterson Lexus in Boise, we activated at Boise State football games earlier this month to engage local fans.

With vehicles on display and a branded tent with a digital prize wheel, there was plenty to see and do on the way into the game. Attendees also had the chance to win prizes from Bose Bluetooth speakers, Beats Solo3 headphones, and 4 VIP tickets to the 10/28 home game against Wyoming.

Red Butte Concerts are a staple of summer in Salt Lake City. Fans line up early to claim their seats on the lawn of the amphitheater, providing a perfect chance for an activation with Toyota. With the season's first snow in the forecast for the high mountains in Utah (really!), we're already dreaming of winter. But first, a look back at one of the memorable projects from winter 2023:

Most people watching the Natural Selection Tour see only the highlight reel of world class snowboarders making their way down epic runs in some spectacular mountains. Our Brand Manager Jason Eder got a front row seat for the Revelstoke stop of the NST as he was on-hand for operations and equipment support for this backcountry production.

From setting up infrastructure for the live broadcast to keeping generators running in the extreme environment, and ensuring creek crossings could be ridden across, Eder handled a bit of everything and then some for the engagement in the Selkirk Mountains.

Who hasn't tried their hand at an arcade claw machine? As part of Pepsi's Real Big Summer campaign in 2014, we worked with Tracy-Locke to create the World's Largest Claw Game at Jenkinson's Boardwalk on the Jersey Shore.

From concept to build, we helped bring this larger-than-life idea to reality: a claw game where attendees could win everything from free ice cream for an entire summer to NY Yankees tickets delivered personally by all-star pitcher Dellin Betances.

As country music stars hit the stage and fans flocked back to the Nevada desert for the legendary Night in the Country festival, our work for Toyota, the event’s presenting sponsor, continued to be on full display.

We produced and managed all of Toyota’s branded elements including the VIP recharge lounge featuring a misting station, photo booth and prize wheel. Additionally, we installed and oversaw the Dealer Camp highlighted by 7 RVs, five display vehicles, 10,000 square feet of astroturf, a pool, a bar, and the annual favorite — two trucks forklifted onto shipping containers.

On the design of the main stage, video walls and branded banners at each entrance ensured the Toyota brand did not go unnoticed throughout the festival weekend.
