In a music and formatting review at the Church, to prepare “Gethsemane” for inclusion in our new hymnal, the sheet music was reduced to only two pages by removing the intro and ending. The lyrics, however, stayed much the same, including the treasured bridge and the final line that emphasizes the relevance of our Savior’s gift of the Atonement to us today.
