In a music and formatting review at the Church, to prepare “Gethsemane” for inclusion in our new hymnal, the sheet music was reduced to only two pages by removing the intro and ending. The lyrics, however, stayed much the same, including the treasured bridge and the final line that emphasizes the relevance of our Savior’s gift of the Atonement to us today. After submitting over 30 songs in 30 years, this sacrament hymn by Annette Dickman (that she submitted in 2011) is now a part of our new hymnal for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
