Publish a cross-section of new, up and coming, and established artists, working in any medium. Each issue will have a featured artist, that will highlight their work and include an interview. Publish book reviews, artistic pieces, and other content out of cycle to the website. Provide an artistic community and forum to exchange ideas, questions, and information about the arts, comment on other artists and their work, comment on the published issues.

Needing a break from the daily grind to re-focus and plan for the rest of 2024, I retreated to Alaska and found the cure. The answer is a pile of Alaskan Huskies at the Trail Breaker Kennel in Fairbanks, AK. And this sweetheart named Felix that we are sponsoring for the upcoming race season.

I am partnering with the University of Alaska Museum of the North in Fairbanks to help build an exhibit for Bus 142 (from the "Into the Wild" story about Christopher McCandless). Other organizations involved include Carine McCandless (Into The Wild Truth), Friends of Bus 142, and the Christopher Johnson McCandless Foundation. Golden Path

Long has it been since I touched these rocks and waters,
weighed down with burden and future thoughts.

Searching for answers in the turbulent seas,
I venture into the cold morning with a mind waiting.

Rocks near the water in a constant struggle
of freezing and thawing as the sun emerges.

Stepping from rock to rock to ledge
I watch the sea smoke race across the horizon.

And then the clouds disperse leaving the sun
bathing all I see in golden light.

A calming path reaching across the waves
and in the infinite moment I know you are here.

Distant Guiding Light

Descending into winter
deceiving clear skies
give way to earth curling
into itself for warmth.

Breaking trails through fresh snow
ascending from the empty fields,
the way surrounded by grass opens
and the guiding light appears.

We take leave and the forest
fills with silence and evening light.

Soon the ground comes to life
as nature gathers before sunset.

Moving Forward

Another year coming to a close.
Another obstacle is looming in the night.

The truth is difficult to see through the fog and mist.
I lose myself in the storms and barrage.

Reflection upon what matters most is heightened.
I turn inward to those close,
To those weathering the hurricane,
and moving forward against the odds.

Stepping back amidst the chaos,
The sky gives way to thin clouds,
and further to the scattered light
constructed from the same molecules as myself.
