Nov. 19 Burglary
The Elk Grove police shared this security video of three suspects burglarizing a gas station near the Elk Grove Auto Mall last Sunday.
Around 3:30 a.m., they reportedly broke into the Shell station at 9611 Auto Center Drive. Police said that one suspect used a rock to break the front door. The suspects then entered the business and stole two cash registers and lottery tickets.
Authorities describe one suspect as a white male in his late teens or early twenties. He stands six feet tall and weighs an estimated 170 pounds. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and gray shoes with white soles.
The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late teens or early twenties. He stands six feet tall and weighs an estimated 170 pounds. This suspect wore a black hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants, and black shoes.
Police describe the third suspect as a white male who is in his late teens or early twenties, and stands five feet, eight inches tall and weighs an estimated 170 pounds. He wore a red San Francisco 49ers jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black and red basketball shoes. "
Investigators believe that the suspects traveled in a dark gray or silver Jeep Grand Cherokee that has dark wheels.

SF Jazz at Toby Johnson MS
The SF Jazz Center last month hosted a live concert and workshop via the Internet for four middle schools across California. Music students at Elk Grove's Toby Johnson Middle School were treated to the experience in their classroom. The CSD fire department, Firefighters Association, and the EGPD took part in the annual Santa & Sirens parade in east Elk Grove December 7. There's still one more chance to see Santa and deliver unwrapped toys tomorrow night leaving station 75 at 7 p.m. More on egcitizen.com

Leonardo Ureno of Napa, CA, set a new record for the largest pumpkin in California today at the CSD GIANT Pumpkin Festival Of Elk Grove held at Elk Grove Regional Park. His pumpkin weighed in at 1684.5 pounds. Will it be featured as a "pumpkin boat" in the Pumpkin Regatta race tomorrow?
