Sactown Movie Buffs Film Fest "10 Minutes and Under" Official Selection: "Love Wins".

This was the first PCS film submitted to our Festival, and one that myself and my judges thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed. Written by Larry Wattson , and Directed by Rob Gore , this heartfelt story has a great production valve and was well-acted! We can't wait to see this one on The Imax Screen!

Salem's Lot (2024 Horror Film) 3/5 ⭐️
Salem's Lot is a horror film based on a book by Stephen King. The setting is in the mid-1970s in a small town where a writer returns home after living in the town as a kid. Only he isn't the only new person in town as a man, and his companion is also new to town and purchases a huge house up on the hill. We soon learn that one of the men is a vampire and wants to transform the whole town!

Having never read the book or seen the original mini-series, I went into this film completely blind. While this is far from King's best film adaptation, I enjoy it. I thought the vampire was creepy and loved that you didn't know which characters were going to die or survive. It's not the best horror film I've seen all year, and probably not even the best vampire film of 2024 (Abigail is my pick thus far). However, I wasn't bored, and I would watch this again.

SMBTV Coverage of Sinister Halloween Con! Day 1 photos continued.

Robyln Lively known for Wildcats, The Karate Kid Part III, and my personal favorite, Teen Witch! She is also in It Ends with Us, which was just released this year. Robyn was a fun interview and very cool to talk with!

Featured: Laurence Mason known for The Crow, Hackers, Ali, Prison Break, and The Lincoln Lawyer. Laurence is as cool as they come. Very nice guy and was easy to talk with.

Bai Ling , known for The Crow, Wild Wild West, and of course Star War: Episode III- Revenge of the Sith. Bai has a lot of great energy and has a clothing line for both men and women.

SMBTV had a great time at Sinister Halloween Con and snagged an interview with our fan favorite, Lil Sicx and also Quinn Lord , who played "Sam" in the Halloween classic film, Trick 'r Treat!

Lil Sicx is also in the Hot Sauce game, and you can reach out to him to grab a bottle or two!

Quinn was a great interview, a very friendly guy, and we chatted about when they are going to finally make a sequel to Trick 'r Treat!

Brothers (2024 Film) 2/5 ⭐️
Brothers is a comedy film starring Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage as twin brothers. Their mother played by Glenn Close has always been involved in crime and when she leaves the kids to go on a run they too turn to a life of crime. When Peter's character is caught and sent to prison for many years, he is given early release with the help of a Corrections Officer (Played by Brendan Fraser). The CO wants the brothers to do a job for him, but Josh's character has gone straight and is trying to leave his past criminal life behind.

I guess this was supposed to be a Dramedy, but it was very short on humor. I just didn't see much chemistry between the main stars or Glenn Close. The film felt like the characters were just going through the motions. It was mostly unfunny and uninteresting in many parts. What seemed like a 2024 version of "Twins" ended up being a completely forgettable mess.

SMBTV Interview with Comedian Dejan Tyler

Man, let me tell you, Dejan came through the studio and had me, Bunny, our crew, and audience members, literally laughing our asses off!

Dejan has been putting in work for a long time, doing standup comedy. I recently saw him as the headliner at The Oogley Theater with Buddy as the Host. When Dejan isn't traveling the country along with several A-List Comedians, you can find his shows locally all over Sacramento.

His show will air on Wednesday, October 30th, along with our Halloween Special, at 7pm on Xfinity's Channel 17, on Channel 20, and AT&T's Channel 14 at 7:30pm
