I know I don’t post political stances here. However, we can’t and we must not let Dems take control of our country the next 4 years…they want to make the far right endorsers to Project 2025. It’s !!!

Four years ago today, I spent 12 hours forecasting and tracking the Eastern Iowa/Western Illinois derecho: a storm so strong I remember not comprehending the radar data as it was coming in.

Today, I am in the House Space, Science and Technology Committee making decisions on where we need research and technology to protect life in property. All the while, right wing extremists writing “Project 2025” want to break up the Department of Education and eliminate the National Weather Service.

We can’t let them win the upcoming election…there’s too much at stake.

A throwback to what is now dubbed the “IowaCane” that produced Major Hurricane Force Straightline Winds of 140+mph which lead to the destroying of homes, blowing down corn crops, destructive tree & power line damage as well as significant farm land damage with silos being blown in and bent. We’re not outta the woods… or water just yet!

We have gotten about a foot of rain so far here in Charleston and there is plenty of flooding to go round. Thankfully, it seems most everyone is taking it easy, staying off the roads and waiting Debby out. 🌨️
