�SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR BIGTYME MAGAZINE
Hi there! Thank you for taking interest in our magazine! In order to serve you best, there is just a few things we need from you for each submission. Please remember to ALWAYS give proper credit where it is due. If you had a designer, makeup, hair, assistants, etc. don’t forget to list them!! I appreciate your taking time to read this! We welcome you to Bigtyme Magazine and just want everyone to know how it works to make it easier on everyone. We do not provide free copies of the magazine to anyone. We even have to buy our copies when we want to purchase the issue. All printing/purchasing/shipping is handled through our publishing company MagCloud .If you have any problems with your order, please contact them directly, then let us know the issue as well! Most important, please do not send us images that have been or are going to be published in any other magazine. We would like to keep our content fresh!
We are aware that some magazines charge a fee to be considered for publication in their magazine. Although that practice is perfectly fine based on that particular magazine we do not require a fee to be considered for our issues. We also do not provide financial compensation for being in our issues.
Depending on the particular theme for that issue nudity and implied nudity is allowed but not required.
#1 HOW TO SUBMIT - Please find us on Facebook, Instagram, or twitter , find the most recent open submissions post and follow the directions on the post. When posting your submissions request to our magazine page, pleased do not post your images. All submissions should be sent to our magazine’s email address : [email protected]
#2 HIGH RES - You must have access to your high resolution files & PERMISSION TO PUBLISH. High Res images are those with at least a 300DPI rating with 8.5 X 11 dimensions. If you are not sure please let us know and we will check for you. With most photo shoot, you are given a disc, flash drive or online gallery link to download your images from. We need you to download and save those images to a computer. Then email your image to us from that same computer. Saving images from Facebook, are of too low quality per our publishers request. Saving those images to your phone are fine for you to view, but are not high enough quality for us to use for the magazine. You are more than welcome to request your photographer to email your image over for you if you are having trouble. We can not accept any low resolution, screen shots, Facebook images, cell phone shots or any other non professional images.
#3 EMAIL - Please make sure to add model name, age, photographer and any other creative team ( hair , make up , designer)credits to be published to your email. Keeping all the information together in the same place helps us get issues out faster! If you are submitting for an OPEN issue, please label your subject of your email OPEN. If you are sending in for one of our themes, please label the subject with the THEME NAME. After you email us in your image, keep watch on your email until you get one saying. RECEIVED! It will also tell you in the email which Issue # you will be in and to keep watch for it to release. Most issues will require you to answer a few interview questions so you may also receive an email with questions that must be answered and returned by the deadline In order to confirm your spot in that issue. We do however reserve the right to not use all or any of your answers in the issue based on size and time restraints. Sometimes, we have issues with the images or information sent in and if we do, we will email you back stating those issues. Please keep track of it so you can still be published. If you happen to miss our deadline to the issue we are working on, you will be placed in the following issue. We receive many emails per week and by following our quick and easy submissions policy, we can keep everything in order better. Again our email address is [email protected]
#4 COVER IMAGES - I know everyone wants on the cover. We get a lot of submissions that are requesting a cover only. Our cover issues are sometimes pre selected in advance but normally ,especially on themed issues we pick the best images based on the ones submitted. Everyone that submits is considered for the cover issue. Please be advised that sometimes we may have to alter your image a bit in order to allow it to fit on the cover.
We are always taking photo submissions for future issues. Themes and deadlines are open as always. Send us 6-7 images sized 8.5 x 11 300dpi to [email protected]. We will resize all images to 8.5 x 11 to fit our pages properly!
PHOTO GUIDELINES
Photos submitted by someone other than the photographer must be approved by your creative team prior to submitting.
You must have permission and rights to publish your images. Photos considered for our magazine, along with the other technical requirements must be unseen and have not been or can be posted on social media prior to the magazine release.
