We have a very important event coming up in October, this year our annual showcase will be raising funds for relief in Palestine. Please mark this show in your calendars! If you’re interested in being a part of the fundraiser by playing at the show please fill out the Google Form.

The past two semesters have been a wild & wonderful ride! Before we leave for the summer, we’d like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us, reflect on some memories, and show our appreciation for our team through our WXIN Wrapped 2023-2024!

To the 24 bands we had the privilege of hosting this year, thank you for coming out and playing at our little college and helping us bring music to our campus. We couldn’t do it without you. It has been amazing getting to see so much talent on our own stage, we appreciate you all!

WXIN is a team-oriented organization that strives to create a welcoming & safe space for RIC students as well as visitors who attend our events. We believe that music has the power to build community, spark joy, and foster self-expression. Our team aims to bring music to our campus through our radio shows, live music events, and DJing. As well as supporting local musicians, encouraging creativity, and providing opportunities for our team members to get involved in the local music scene.
If you love music & you’re intersted in working with peers who do as well, consider joining WXIN next semester! All are welcome to start their own radio show or podcast & be a part of our event planning team! Stay tuned for more information on how you can join for the Fall 2024 semester! See you then!

ROCK HUNT FINALE IS ON FRIDAY, APRIL 19TH!! Come see Dogtree, Grenadine, Borrasca, & Appala’s Eclipse battle it out for three cash prizes!! The show will be held in the RIC Beestro located in the Student Union. Entry will be $5 with a RIC student ID and $8 for visitors. We’re also selling buttons and releasing our new crewnecks!! (There is an ATM located on the second floor of the Student Union). Doors will open at 7:00 PM and music will start at 7:30 PM.

Rock Hunt is 90.7 WXIN’s rendition of ‘Battle of The Bands. Four bands will compete on night one, & two winners will be voted to move on to the finale. On night two, four more bands will compete & two more winners will move on. The four finalists will play in the finale show & compete for three prizes. First place $1000, second place $700, and third place $300.
Voting is in the hands of the Rock Hunt audience, come out and vote for your favorite local bands!

On Saturday, April 20th, WXIN will be hosting a drum circle, organized by our World Music DJ ! The event will be held in the Student Union Ballroom (put in Rhode Island College Bookstore on maps!). Doors at 7:00 PM, starting at 7:30 PM. Entry will be free for RIC students and $5 for non RIC students. All are welcome to participate, no experience needed!
