Attention VA clients and anyone looking for tips: This is a must. The Apple Music for Artists app is free. It has been difficult for artists to hassle-free claim their Apple Music accounts, but this app is only about about a year old so it needs to be exposed and artists need to use it no less than their Spotify for Artists app. I hope it’s not too much to ask to get the app yesterday and utilize it for all it’s worth since Spotify are clearly not paying all incurred royalties now, Apple Music pays for every stream. Claim your account and take advantage of features Spotify doesn’t even offer, such as higher payouts per stream, your video clips for preview and download for purchase, as well as other advantages. Take the time do it right.

(The Orchard is the only label distributor to earn Preferred Plus status at both Spotify and Apple Music)

Content is King

Once you release the music it’s already out. Spreading around social media doesn’t penetrate a listenership, marketing it to DSP’s does. What’s missing in the social media management of it all is content making to distribute shorts snd reels around the bullseye targeted songs. Start by turning long form video content into shorts and reels for months of posting material. Cut out all the time wondering what to post before you randomly post it. They have apps for that, let’s see you use them.

It’s becoming useless to inform those not wanting to be informed.

Ask about discounts before July 31st deadline, after that doors closed until October.
