Join us on Sunday, April 16th, 2023, from 7 pm to midnight at UNDERGROUND SF for a night of non-stop beats and incredible vibes and the world premeire of "Legendary Runway ft. Pat Cleveland!

Legendary Runway ft. Pat Cleveland is a high-energy dance track that pays homage to the unsung heroes of the fashion industry. The track is a tribute to the iconic moment in fashion history when Pat Cleveland and the Girls from 7th Avenue vogue-danced down the runway at the 1973 Battle of Versailles Fashion Show and Fundraiser in Paris.

This release is more than just a tribute to the past; it's a call to action. One A and Pat Cleveland aim to inspire a new generation of Black and Brown artists to claim their rightful place in the fashion and music industries.

The release contains 3 versions, including One A's "Take it to the Runway" mix, which can be heard in the animated biopic "The Girl from 7th Avenue-Pat Cleveland and the Runway Revolution" alongside his original "Deep in the Function" mix. To top it off, Unicorn Breeding Ground's Remix of the track, UBG Express Mix, embellishes the release with live strings played by award-winning viola maestro, Keith Lawrence.

The "Legendary Runway ft. Pat Cleveland" release will coincide with a special screening of the movie "The Girl From 7th Avenue–Pat Cleveland & The Runway Revolution" produced by Antonio's Closet Productions, of which Antonio Contreras is the founder and Artistic Director, and Gehno Aviance is the Executive Director. The film has earned them multiple International Fashion Film Awards.

Come early to catch a screening of "The Girl from 7th Avenue-Pat Cleveland and the Runway Revolution" and stay to listen to the World Premiere of the track and dance the night away. We will be giving away promo copies of the track alongside other goodies, so make sure you don't miss out!

Legendary Runway ft. Pat Cleveland is an energetic dance release that pays tribute to Pat Cleveland and the Girls from 7th Avenue. As individuals of mixed heritage, One A (aka Gehno Sanchez Aviance) and Pat Cleveland share a passion for reclaiming the heritage of Black and Brown artists, highlighting their contributions to the fashion industry. This track celebrates the iconic moment in fashion history when Pat Cleveland and the Girls from 7th Avenue vogue-danced down the runway at the 1973 Battle of Versailles Fashion Show and Fundraiser in Paris.

Working closely with Pat Cleveland, One A crafted a Deep House track that captures the fierce energy of that iconic runway moment. Pat herself can be heard on the track, ordering the Girls from 7th Avenue to “vogue” as they did over 50 years ago. But the track is more than just a tribute to the past — it’s a call to action. One A and Pat Cleveland hope to inspire a new generation of Black and Brown artists to claim their rightful place in the fashion industry and beyond.

The release contains 3 versions. Big Stuff is going down in San Francisco this weekend!

This Friday, 4/14, the single ‘Legendary Runway ft. Pat Cleveland’ by One A aka Gehno Sanchez Aviance releases on all digital platforms for purchase and streaming. The original mix of ‘Legendary Runway’ was created for the film ‘The Girl from 7th Avenue: Pat Cleveland & the Runway Revolution.’ Gehno and his business partner Antonio Contreras Aviance made a movie under Antonio's Closet Productions. This film has won multiple International Awards. Gehno edited and did the sound and most of the soundtrack of the film. The single ‘Legendary Runway’ is being released by Koritsi Komma Records and Unicorn Breeding Ground on Friday and has remixes by One A and Unicorn Breeding Ground.

On Saturday, 4/15, a screening the film ‘The Girl from 7th Avenue: Pat Cleveland & the Runway Revolution.’ will take place Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD). Following the film there will be a discussion with Pat Cleveland and designer Kevin Hall.

Sunday, 4/16, we will be having a release party for the ‘Legendary Runway’ Single at UNDERGROUND SF featuring One A, Sappho, Keith Lawrence and Kenneth L. Kemp starting at 7pm.

We want to share with you a little bit about more about Experimental Housewife:

ExHouse grew up on AMP MTV and Urbal Beats before graduating and immersing herself in the world of the Northern Exposure and early Global Underground series. These groundbreaking DJ albums fostered a profound appetite for airtight mixing, storytelling through compilation, and musical sounds that glow, shimmer, build and break. Nearly 25 years later, ExHouse still finds and centers the same stylistic aspects in her sets and productions. Apart from playing heady techno and house, she is known to be a 'classic trance and progressive house' DJ. In 2020 she started the annual Night of Progressive House and Trance vinyl showcase, aka 'Trancegiving' (it takes place the night before Thanksgiving which she recognizes as Indigenous Peoples Day).

In 2018, ExHouse launched Perfect Location Records, a project in cross-medial listenership and compilation. Ambitiously releasing fresh or archival material by a variety of artists within one year, Perfect Location has now become a slow and intentional reisuee platform, looking to place excellent and one-of-a-kind releases onto vinyl for the first time.

ExHouse has lived in an assortment of places, from a college town in Montana to Berlin and San Francisco. Originally from Houston, she brings her discipline and passion for electronic music no matter where she is. She proudly calls the Bay Area home and believes it to be a most excellent backdrop for shimmery, breezy, progressive electronic sounds.
