Cleaning kettles has become a routine before each brew now cause it’s so easy to do now with the Spike Brewing Steam Condenser Lid. I won’t lie, i used to go multiple brews without cleaning my kettles, usually it would take a really dark or heavily adjuncted beer that would force me to clean. But now it’s become a habit before I want to brew to run a quick CIP. Takes maybe 30 minutes total. Dry hopping the Dip Hopped Hazy! Throwing 7.5oz into it! Mix of Amarillo and Bru-1. So far the pre dry hop tastes a very mellow with a lot of white fruit, when I say white fruit like the inside of the fruit is white so like a blue berry, grapes, pear. The nose has some orange characteristics to it but doesn’t come through with the taste.
Can’t wait to pour a glass of this bad boy!!

Dip hopped verdant is coming down of its peak, and philly sour is starting out strong. I always try and remind people who think philly sour is slow, that the pitch rate for this yeast is so much higher than others. I pitched 3 packets for a 12 gallon batch at 1.060.

Here’s what I do with my filter to prep it for kegging.
1st I assemble it, fill with sanitizer and keep filling with a glass since I only made 2.5 gallons.
2nd, I hold it up to the racking port with c02 connected to the outport and I let c02 run through it and purge it for about 30 second.
3rd, put the tri clamp back on and hook up my kegging coupler.
