Is it Wednesday already? Am I the only one that sometimes gets lost in days? Always so many stuff to do, errands to finish, kids to take places..and when I stop, I feel the chaos around me.
If you need a pause to breathe and the books that will take you somewhere else, I've made a little list of the ones that could be perfect autumn reads. Believe me when I say that these will make you forget everything and everyone around you.
THE HEART'S INVISIBLE FURIES - oh what a ride this one was - funny, entertaining, with a ton of quirky characters that only add up to the richness of the story. Its a heavy book about growing up gay in Ireland in 1940's, but there is a lot of smart and witty conversations and good humor, and I often found myself giggling to some situations.
EDUCATED - I think this one needs no introduction. Special and unique story about growing up in a less than usual way. Some might say its depression p**n, but for me it was an emotional read that I enjoyed thoroughly.
RESIN - a hell of a read, perfect for October. Scary in an unusual way, describing strange paths grief can take us. And one of the best endings ever. Ever.
THE EXILES - amazing piece of historical fiction about women prisoners sent from England to Australia to serve their time there. Beautiful writing, captivating story and my honest recommendation.
SHANTARAM- one of my absolute favorites. I wont talk much about it. Read it. Its huge, but trust me, you wont be disappointed.
