Public Service Announcement:
What does it mean to decide to lead? And, will you?
It may seem like leaders are born with confidence, blessed with talent and graced with wisdom but there's more to it. Leadership takes practice. And discipline. Critical thinking. It's not a gift. It's a choice. You can decide to lead. One path to consider on your leadership journey is the ROTC Scholarship program. It provides a platform to practice your leadership skills. It can also pay for your college education and start you off in the real world in a leadership position.
The US ARMY ROTC scholarship is the largest scholarship program in the country and can pay for your education even through to becoming a lawyer or doctor.
If interested, you can contact a Philadelphia area Scholarship and Enrollment Officer for more details or fill out the interest form for someone in your area to reach out to you here: bit.ly/3G3jIn5

Jenee Chizick-Aguero's Personal Meeting Room
What do benches, sculptures, music, poetry and animals have in common? Zoom into the natural world with us on December 6th to find out! From 5-6 pm, Motivos bilingual magazine will host the creative producers and community members that helped bring the intriguing River Alive! Learning Trail to life. Julie Slavet, Executive Director of the Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership, Inc. will offer the framework in which the magic happens. Hear from visionary Victoria Prizzia, Founder of Habithèque Inc. who brings together artists and scientists while engaging the public in the intersection of culture, storytelling and innovation. Meet artist Jay Coreano whose mosaic work pulled the community into collaborative creation of the installation animal art that appears throughout the trail, Greg Lynch whose Youth Volunteer Corp helped build the wavy water-like story-time benches, musicians from City Love who created songs reachable via QR codes through the trail and Dalila Bedoya, community leader who has participated in helping this project come to fruition from the get-go. This project is funded by the William Penn Foundation and developed by Victoria Prizzia and her team at Habithèque Inc.
