The members of the Penn Political Review Executive Board are united in the fight against systemic racism and police brutality. We stand behind the black community of Penn, Philadelphia, and America at large. We honor the lives of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and the countless other victims of senseless violence. We will not forget them. We stand in solidarity with those grappling with the trauma caused by centuries of racial inequity.

We commit to fighting prejudice and holding ourselves and our communities accountable. We pledge to continue to listen, read, and speak about racial injustice.

We are donating to Community Legal Services of Philadelphia and Black Visions Collective to extend our support beyond words.

Our mission is to amplify Penn students’ voices on political issues and spark discourse between a multitude of viewpoints. We will continue to foster conversations around equality, respect, and human rights.

The pitch form for the Penn Political Review's Fall Edition magazine is now LIVE!

2020 has altered the path of political, social, and medical history. Join PPR in capturing these extraordinary times and starting conversations around the issues that matter to you.

In this unprecedented year, we hope to create an unprecedented magazine. For the first time we are expanding beyond articles and seeking three types of pitches:

ARTICLE: 1,000-1,200 words. We are looking for writing on COVID-19 and/or the 2020 election, but will also consider any politically relevant topic.

CORONAVIRUS AROUND THE GLOBE: 50-100 word blurb on the pandemic's impact on politics wherever you are.

CARTOON/ARTWORK: Politics can be serious, but sometimes it can be lighthearted and humorous! Submit your work for consideration.

Due June 19. We look forward to reading your submissions!

In his two newest interviews, Bala Thenappan sinks his teeth into viewpoints on opposite ends of the ideological spectrum. See below for links to Bala's conversations with Rossanna Cambron, Co-chair of the American Communist Party and Nicholas Sarwark, Chair of the Libertarian Party.
