Membership is also open to Publications, Convention and Visitors Bureaus and Destination Marketing Organizations in North America. NATJA’s CVB/DMO membership provides a low-cost and effective way to promote destinations by providing direct access to media and editors of publications. NATJA’s programming and services include the annual Conference & Marketplace focusing on professional development for media and member organizations; the prestigious annual NATJA Awards Competition for travel media, publications, and destination marketing organizations; and providing our membership with the tools necessary in this world of ever-evolving communications channels. In addition, NATJA publishes TravelWorld International magazine (www.travelworldmagazine.com), which features stories and photography exclusively by NATJA members and has a significant international readership. Founded in 1991 by a group of sixteen travel writers, NATJA is the second largest association of writers, photographers, editors, and tourism professionals dedicated to redefining professional development for the travel industry.
