We are not trying to cause fear or anxiety we are only trying to impress upon everyone to watch the weather closely, watch our local TV stations, obtain a NOAA weather radio, and watch our FB page for updates.

A cold front will move through late Tuesday into Wednesday, brining a round of showers/storms to the region. Some storms can become strong to severe, with the main threat damaging winds. Large hail and spin-up tornadoes are possible. Be weather aware and make sure to have multiple ways to receive warnings!

*Several Lamar County S.O units are enroute to the area of Hwy 271 South @ CR 14300, South of Pattonville attempting to talk a subject out of an old warehouse style building who is refusing to come out.

*Subject is reported to have a long rifle inside the building with him

4000 blk north main for a major accident with entrapment this is affecting traffic flow in both lanes. Avoid this area. 8:09 PM north bound 271 north is shut down to traffic.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning
Alert: ..A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CDT
FOR NORTH CENTRAL COLLIN...NORTHEASTERN COOKE...GRAYSON AND WEST
CENTRAL FANNIN COUNTIES...

At 813 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Callisburg to near Van Alstyne, moving north at 40
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Sherman, Denison, Gainesville, Whitesboro, Anna, Van Alstyne, Howe,
Pottsboro, Collinsville, Whitewright, Gunter, Bells, Tom Bean, Savoy,
Callisburg, Knollwood, Dorchester, Lake Kiowa, Eisenhower State Park
and southern Lake Texoma.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for north central
Texas.

Please share this BLUE ALERT, as several North Texas Law Enforcement agencies right now work to find the man wanted for shooting a Burleson Police Officer during a traffic stop this morning. He is now also wanted for a fatal carjacking that followed.

Storm chances will continue through much of the week across North and Central Texas. A few strong to severe storms will be possible along and south of I-20 and east of I-35 Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. Hail will be the primary threat. Additionally, a few strong storms capable of producing small hail will be possible along the Red River Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.
