Happy 30th Anniversary...!

Fall 1992. My original business partner & I had a plan to exit our radio careers to pursue a dream of doing creative audio work in our own recording studio.

October 31st, 1992: The 1st check was written on our very first purchase, and we were off & runnin'. and spending.

(for the tech geeks, that 1st purchase was the Alesis ADAT: an 8-Track Digital Tape Recorder, priced at a whopping $4000.)

5 years ago this week, the late Bob Gibson came in to record an interview about Game 1 of the ‘68 Series.

I naively asked about the significance of that game, to which he said, “well... I threw 17 strikeouts.”

Without thinking through the math, I asked, “Is that a lot...?”

He paused.

“Yes. Yes it is.”
