“I think Omaha has so much going for it — it’s got momentum in terms of business activity and civic engagement,” he said. “Omaha is doing well and is going to do better. ... (Stothert) is a proven quantity under testing circumstances.” - Warren Buffett

“For many Omahans forced to work two to three jobs, the city isn’t working for them,” he said. “I am the candidate ready to work alongside the people of Omaha to create a better city that works for everyone. We can’t have four more years of status quo — it’s time for change.” - RJ Neary

The longtime Democrat offered a strong endorsement for the Republican and a $10,000 check for her campaign. “It’s an important job, and we have someone very good in that job,” he said.

"This is not conditions-based," the official said. "The president has judged that a conditions-based approach, which has been the approach of the past two decades, is a recipe for staying in Afghanistan forever."
-
"This is not 2001," the official said. "It is 2021, and in 2021, the terrorist threat that we face is real and it emanates from a number of countries, indeed a number of continents, from Yemen, from Syria, from Somalia, from other parts of Africa.”

A defense official confirms to ABC News the Washington Post reporting that President Biden will withdraw all U.S. forces from Afghanistan by Sept. 11.

I got to put in some work this afternoon and helped Jonathan Lathan for District 2 City Council with literature drops in our district!

Jonathan is the only person in the race for CCD2 that I trust to be a genuine and fierce advocate for the People of North Omaha.

From Economic Development, Inclusive Infrastructure & Affordable Housing, and Criminal Justice/Police Reform, Jonathan and I see eye to eye on a lot of the issues facing our community and agree on what needs to be done to address and tackle these issues.
He was the only clear choice for me when I suspended my campaign, and I intend to do all that I can to see that he makes it through the April primary and defeats Ben Grey in May!

Join me in supporting Jonathan!
Check out his website! You can contact the campaign and sign up to volunteer via the site :)

Even though federally legal since 2015, when the Supreme Court ruled banning gay marriage to be unconstitutional, the Nebraska Constitution since 2000 had an amendment banning legal marriages between same-sex couples. That verbiage still resides in the constitution to this day, even though it has no power or effect legally.
A proposal, currently in the NE Legislature, is seeking to official remove the discriminatory amendment.

If passed, the proposal would remove the ban on gay marriage.
