Some of OKC’s most talented bands and artists will be presenting their art at one of the city’s most prominent event centers, The Yale Theater in OKC. While our guests enjoy music from multiple genres including Singer/Songwriter with a taste of Rock, Neo Soul, Hip/Hop mixed with poetry, and Alternative Rock and Hip/Hop crossover, you can browse the walls with canvas’s created by four of our most talented local painters. If that isn’t enough, two live paintings will take place throughout the evening and raffled off to benefit the Girls Rock Camp in OKC. “Formed in late 2021, The Confused Band lifted up their metaphorical shirts and attracted all types of eyes on them. After their first performance at the 405 Fest, they disrupted Oklahoma City’s music scene as a young, all-black, alternative rock band. With a colorful sound-influenced blend of funk, alternative rock, indie, and punk rock; the group captivated a rapid growing fan base all before releasing any music. They DO NOT look like the music they bring life to, hence the name, “The Confused Band,” leaving audiences confused?….”

Art fusion is so excited to be hosting a live painting of a custom set done by the one and only Bizy Kickz Customs Restoration's to raise money for the amazing Rock and Roll Camp for Girls Oklahoma City✨

“Will Charles Johnsons love for Sneaker restoration and customs began 8 years ago. He took one of his pairs of shoes from High School 1996 and cleaned them up and repainted them. It was the satisfaction sensation from the before and after results. It was then when the passion was sparked. People began to ask for their sneakers to be fixed. What started as a Hobby has now become a full business named Bizy Kickz. Bizy Kickz is the most sought after restore company in the state. The bonus for Will Charles Johnson and seeing people's reactions to their shoes being restored to new as possible and blank canvas shoes with their vision being brought to life.”

Art Fusion is proud to have Sarafina Byrd Music on stage March 11th💜

“Born and raised in OKC, Sarafina Byrd grew up around music from an early age, her dad was the first one to introduce to music (jazz). Sarafina has been performing music for the last 5 years. It was not until 2020 when Byrd released her first EP entitled “Divine Timing” that she grew the confidence to perform on a consistent basis. For the last two years, Sarafina has been working to cultivate her sound and connect with her audience. She has been featured in the OK Gazette (2021) and the Oklahoman (2021). Sarafina has performed for Plaza Festival 2021-2022 mainstage, Paseo arts banquet,Norman music festival, Tower theater and City hall. Sarafina also has a trio band that she performs with often. Neo-soul with a kick of R&B/jazz best describes her sound.”

Hip Hop artist, Poet and Producer Original Flow is a wordsmith with a message.

Following in his father’s MC footsteps, Original Flow continues to defy mainstream music molds through conscious lyrics of positivity and triumph. Born Christopher G. Acoff, a truly organic on-stage delivery and distinctive “Old School” feel has led to an impressive following in his hometown of Oklahoma City.

A member of experimental Hip Hop group The Fervent Route, Original Flow considers the group an artistic blend of A Tribe Called Quest and The Roots. The live-arrangement band consists of drummer Soulful, keyboardist Andrew, electric guitarist Danyoson.

Original Flow encourages current and rising artists to preserve the storytelling component of music. “All music has a story to tell and both have been around since the dawn of time. We must keep that. We must. When we remove the ‘human aspect,’ music becomes less and less human or real. You can’t relate and so it’s just…there. Regardless if the story is a happy one or not, tell your story. Remain with the human aspect we can all identify with and continue to share it with others.”

“Nora Bray is a mixed media Artist who works from her home Studio located in Oklahoma City. She was first inspired at a young age by cartoon animation and street art. She noticed how it could change the ordinary world into a world only limited by your imagination. Her collection of work ranges from bright colored whimsical creatures to mythical inspirations. She currently focuses on perfecting techniques such as line work and movement created with her brushstrokes. Her style has transformed into an eclectic group of artwork ranging from Mixed media/acrylic paintings, tattoo designs, and ink illustrations. She currently is collaborating with clients and working on commissioned designs for individuals and other local artists.”

He is known for painting celebrities and well known people around the city. Roland also graduated valedictorian , worked displayed on walls around the city, different art galleries and also has over 15 awards in Art. On his free time he enjoys hooping, music, taking pictures, painting and working out. Anything creative he pretty much has his hands on it.”

“Art. Art comes in many different forms that inspires and challenges the eye of other creatives. For Danni, it's just one of the ways she expresses herself. At first look, you may not see a look that screams "Artist." She does,however, have her own style that screams unique- a surprisingly unexpected way of creating artistic visuals that will draw in. Danni creates art that is made to be a reflection of herself and wants her viewers to experience the world as she sees it. She began drawing at the age of 6 and used her gift as a way to escape from sadness and anxiety. It then developed into something she never imagined it would, it became her passion. Danni went through a dry period where she did not do any artwork. It wasn't until after she had her first child and diagnosed with a rare scalp disease that motivated her to create again. Days when she was limited to physical activity, she would begin drawing to get her mind off the pain. Now, she’s still creating and making her art known.”

Yesterday our CEO had the pleasure of meeting these two wonderful people at .coffee 💜 The manager Jared talked about the locally roasted coffee they serve and how they have been recognized throughout the US for their coffee. One of their team members we met yesterday was William. He is such a beautiful person inside and out, who loves the arts. He has been the lead in Fiddler On The Roof at his high school Mount Saint Mary, and is currently playing the Mayor in their upcoming play for the Spring Performance. He will proudly tell you about how much he loves his mom Ellyn Hefner for OK House District 87 and how cool she is, and just the best. This alone made us realize the city has someone incredible as a Representative and inspires us for the future of Okc. Out of all of our stops in local businesses in the last few weeks, this group of people were the kindest, most welcoming staff. The barista recommended I try their seasonal “Teddy Bear latte” and it was absolutely phenomenal. As a dog friendly establishment they also offer treats for your best friend in their gift section💜 As a non-profit organization they thrive on exceptional coffee, encouraging their staff and customers, and community outreach to multiple outlets including helping local high school fundraisers, heritage celebrations, the OKC Mayors committee on disability concerns and are an equal opportunity employer by including students and adults with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities to create the one of a kind exceptional environment and atmosphere you receive here. I have never experienced so much love and support in one room from a team and we are lucky to have them in OKC💜 Thank you NYAJ for supporting Art Fusion and the local arts community, as well as everyone else you meet. Art Fusion is honored to present to you our first visual artist Cierra CM! Her art work will be displayed during the show and she will be doing a live painting for the Rock and Roll Camp for Girls Oklahoma City 💜

"I have been creating as long as I can remember. Growing up in both Oklahoma City and Los Angeles, I was able to bring both homes into one with my creations.

Over the years, I've had the chance to dive into many platforms of artistry. It began with drawing at a young age, and later fell into my love of fashion and design. Once, I discovered painting, I felt free. Art came naturally. It's my safe space. A place that made my world seem real, in a world now that can be so easily falsified.

My intention is to create work that not only captures your eye but allows you to see differently. Art is perspective. Not always understood but felt. It should captivate you.
Art should make you feel, even if you can't quite understand what you feel. Within lies an opportunity for growth, change and perspective.

My hope is to encourage everyone to step out of their comfort zones and dissolve the idea that we, "need to belong" and realize we all do.

We're all here for a purpose and here to utilize our own individual talents and skills. We're here to inspire one another. Our gifts are about community and bringing us together.

Our event "Art Fusion" is proud to feature local artist ROZ aka Rozlyn Zora Music. ROZ is rewriting the book when it comes to genres. Hailing from the greater suburbs of Tulsa, front-woman Rozlyn Zora, started out playing country covers in local dive bars at the young age of 14. She spent those early days filling up journals with cheeky lyrics before backing them with chunky guitar and heavy bass riffs. “It’s all about the story” Zora stated when asked about songwriting; “When you know the story, the song writes itself”. Zora has performed from coast to coast, along with participating in BANDS@NAMM after self-producing her Love EP in 2017. Now backed by fellow band mates Michael Vaughan, Alex Henry, Evan Dorio, and Demetri Tsaras, ROZ is creating a new sound, one in which you’d have to experience to feel. Alternative is getting a new definition, and this is just the beginning.
