sometimes catch phrases and slang become cliche and their overuse annoys me. so i've prepared a list of acceptable substitutions which i encourage everyone to use henceforth (from now on)...

in place of "Level Up" i'd like to suggest that instead
we 'elevate' or 'make lofty' or refer to someone whos really kicking ass in their field, as their 'loftiness.' (ex: did you hear Mark got a promotion and a fat raise? it seems the voodoo doll he bought from the crone beneath the bridge has really exacerbated his loftiness.)

'game changer' is the other one for today's sermon because it convinces idiots to spend money, where they might not need. so instead how about, 'transmogrify 'or 'refashion' might work just as well.
(ex. 'thanks for the thesaurus, grandma. saving money on software subscriptions to try and sound smart makes this a real transmogrifier. and the best birthday ever or 'sass me again, grandson and i'll refashion your face like i did your daddy's)

sometimes i like obviously bad background vocals (P***y Bluester, "Bad Habits"). but the BGV's can make a so-so song sound amazing! (TBird & The Breaks "Blackberry Brandy" or TTB "That did it") check out the refs and tell me i'm wrong!

Recording background vocals is a distinctly different from recording solo vocals because of how they fit in the mix and these 11 points can help.

IF you plan on going DT tonight... please stop by and say hello, because In celebration of my Independence, i think i'm going to set up my PA and play a mini-solo-concert in the studio parking lot tonight thereby enforcing pay-to-park for those attending the party at Scissortail tonight. (last year it was insanely crowded)

Pedestrians get entertained for free! Motorists, pony up! if you know what i'm saying. (words are fun)
