The Pet of the Week is Athena, a sweet black short-haired spayed 5-year-old female 5. Athena is a little bit of a talker and loves her hugs. She was in a home for awhile and very happy with love and attention, but now she is here looking for a forever home. She will shower you with her short stories and long and loving purrs straight from her heart.
Athena will meet and greet you when you come home from a long day at work and give you all the love you need on a daily basis. Meet Jasper, an 8-year-old male with long, soft orange fur. He loves to be petted, but is not crazy about men and does not like other cats. He is neutered and up to date with all vaccines and FIV and Leukemia negative. Yes, he has some quirks but is worth the visit. He is a laid-back kitty that will either be in a lap or looking out a window sunning himself.

Meet Stevie, a handsome boy who is learning to trust humans. He came to the shelter as a petrified little kitten who would hide under his blankets. He wants to interact and play and is very curious. Stevie is still wary of strangers but once he gets to know someone, he loves to play. Come and meet him and see if he will bond to you—remember, cats pick their people. Stevie is about 2 years old and current with all vaccines as well as neutered. Those looking for a cuddle buddy, it will not happen until Stevie feels safe. Meet Speedy, a very sweet chihuahua who loves lots of attention. I am not a barker like all my brother and sisters. I am a fantastic walker who has a very fast clip. I can go for miles, but I like to stop and roll once in a while. I don't seem to mind other dogs but yikes those big ole cats scare me.
I was found running for my life in the woods and was scared to death and I gave the girls from Animal Control a good workout. I need to have a vet visit and will be available. I will be fully vaccinated , microchipped and neutered. Remember, anyone who is interested should like to cuddle and go for walks, but don't let go of my leash, because I am fast.

Peaches is a domestic medium hair female. She is very petite with beautiful long fur that is so soft to touch. At first she is shy, but once she warms up she is a talker. Peaches enjoys being petted and cuddled. She is done being in a cage and wants a window seat in a forever home so she can watch the birds and bask in the sun. Meet Lola and Lilith! These girls are a little shy right now because there is so much going on here at the shelter. They were used to a quiet home with window views of the outside world—now all they have is a view of the inside of the shelter.
Both kitties are very sweet and love to be petted. They are longing to get back what they just lost—a loving home. Lola and Lilith have been together since they were kittens and want to stay together. They are very mellow and will be great companions, just give them a soft chair and another view of the world and their wishes will be answered. Hello world! My name is Princess Lola. I am an American bull mix. I am 9 years old and up to date with all vaccines. I have some arthritis going on in my hips. All I want is to be with someone who loves me for real. If I hurt, fix me, if I am scared, hug me forever. I love everyone and love to go for walks. I am no race car out there, but I have a nice, easy stride.

Dimples and Dolphin are two sisters that were born outside to a feral mom. They were trapped and brought to the shelter when they were about a month old with their brothers. They are still nervous around people but want to come closer, but as kittens their mom taught them “fight or flight” out in the wild.
They are sweet 5-month-old spayed girls that are very curious and playful. Dolphin is more outgoing and very interested in humans while Dimples—they gray tiger—tends to hide but will peek out to see who is looking in her cage .
These girls will need to be slowly introduced into a home but with time they will come out of their shell and become very interactive. During the introduction to your home they would need to be placed in a small room with food, water, bedding, and a litterbox so they can get used to all the sounds in your home. They need time to feel safe and secure and comfortable. Spending time with them every day in that room will win their confidence and trust and this is what will win them over to become lovable adorable pets. Both girls are up to date with all their vaccines , spayed , microchipped , and dewormed.

Rerun showed up in this very nice person's yard looking for food and so she started feeding him on a regular basis. The woman contacted the shelter and a trap was set to capture him.
Upon arrival, he was very scared and hid under his blankets for weeks. Slowly, his personality emerged and he is now an outgoing and very happy boy who likes other cats. At one time he had a home because he was already microchipped but the owners never registered the chip, so the information could not be found. This adoption must be his forever home and no more “throw away kitty” this time.
Rerun deserves a lifetime of love and total commitment because this is his second chance and it's time he is placed with a responsible owner who will protect and care for him forever. He is neutered, microchipped, is FIV and leukemia negative and up to date on all his vaccines.

Hi folks, my name is Runner. I am a energetic happy male Rottweiler mix. I am a big boy who does not know his size or strength. I don't seem to mind cats around me, but I might want to chase them.
He is learning to walk on a leash but is strong and always very excited to go outside. He will get a little nervous if too many people try to pet him all at the same time. He would be a great outdoor dog to take jogging or just hiking the trails. Someone very active would be a perfect match for our boy. Definitely no small children because he is too big and very active.
