Marion Stokes, a Philadelphia woman who began taping whatever was on television in 1979 and didn't stop until her death in 2012. The 71,000 VHS and Betamax tapes she made are the most complete colltion preserving this era of TV. The are being digitized by the internet Archive.

I am selling one of my low-use capture cards, top-quality, far better than any USB capture card you can buy today. Please read the advert as it plays best in Windows7, but I can also use it with my W10 laptop. It balks with my Windows 10 tower.

This is a great time of year to de-cable, unplug, and bring your dust-sucking towers and laptops outdoors for a good blow.
I’m using a little blower from Amazon and it’s handy for electronics, lamp shades, AC filters, that sort of thing.

Very busy today. Cleaned the heads on my Sony 530 Digital 8 camcorder and now capturing lossless AVI files.
The workflow for the video is Sony CCD-TRV530>Datavideo Time Base Corrector>Tevion Hi-Speed capture dongle>Lenovo Windows 7 laptop. Always with S-video cables, NEVER composite!
As for the audio, I run it through an audio attenuator before it gets to the Tevion so I can adjust the levels.
Don't settle for substandard conversions of your tapes.
I have six camcorders: 2 Sony Digital8, one Sony 8XR, two Canon HDV-DV, and a JVC S-VHS-C.
VCRs? Six fully functional Super VHS machines, with a sixth awaiting a refurb.
Let's face it, I am not your $5-$10 basement conversion service, and I'm not FAST, but I get it done, and done right.

Tape capture starting at $25 for a single tape up to 90 minutes playing time.
91 minutes to 3 hours $30.

-Visual inspection of tape and case looking for damage/dirt/mold.
-Tapes captured using advanced Time Base Correction (TBC) to
minimize or eliminate wavy and wiggly video playback.
-Multiple S-VHS players and TBC units to choose from to optimize capture.
-Capture tape using LOSSLESS compression for maximum quality.
-Run the video file through "HYBRID" software for QTGMC
deinterlacing (optional) to produce internet and device-friendly video files.
-Mask the edges of the video file to cover analog tape over-scan
(the rough static areas often seen at the sides and bottom of
captured analog tape)
-You get your tape converted to MP4 (H264 or H265). Other file

I no longer inkjet print discs, the ink is getting outrageous.
If you have an urgent unstoppable need to get custom inkjet labeling, I'll do it, but it's gonna cost. Sorry.
Quality takes skill, time, and well-cared-for equipment.
My SuperVHS machines are carefully chosen and then refurbished by a master licensed technician (John's TV in Taunton, MA) to get the best playback of almost any tape.
I also use "legacy" capture USB dongles that work best on WindowsXP and Windows7 when Videotape was still a hot commodity. My capture computer is OFFLINE and 100% Windows 7x64! When it concerns videotape, "newer" is not "better".
Multi-tape orders may be discounted.
