I have run into an issue that I'm hoping one of my many audio friends can help with-
Is there an app or software that still recognizes SDII files (Sound designer 2)?
I am trying to salvage a piano part from a very old PT session for one of my clients, audio format used was SDII.

I dug up my old laptop (pre catalina) and it also didn't recognize the file type, I tried PEAK 6 and Audacity. No luck,..

So excited to see Kronos Quartet@ Carnegie Hall!

Fun story- one of my first sessions as an assistant engineer was with the Kronos Quartet and Allen Ginsberg reciting “howl” on the 25th anniversary of his last public recitation.

Now they are celebrating their 50th anniversary!

fellow Recording Academy members, Leo Lavaro and Daniel Scheer.

Thank you RA-New York Chapter and Thank you Jordan Goldes, Representative Grace Meng's Director of Communications, for meeting with us and listening to the needs of musicians, songwriters, and all professionals in our community. Thank you for discussing the current legislation we are hoping to pass the House and Senate this year.

Also Thank you to Senior Project Manager for all of her hard work to organize these meetings with our representatives!

3x Grammy Winning NYC based Engineer, Musician/Songwriter, Denise Barbarita, works on album projects, scores, and audio post production for Film/TV. As an Engineer/Producer, she has worked with artists from many genres, from hip hop, rock, and punk, to theater, jazz and classical.

Denise has released 4 albums of her own with her band "The Morning Papers", through her label and publishing company, MyShyTune Music. Being the head engineer of MONOLisa, she spends most of her time there, but is comfortable working at other studios.
