The PCB of my Ampeg B15s. It was burning like the end of a cigarette.Since Blackie of Tubesville is now in LA, he recommended Matt Wells. A great recommendation!! Also the sage advice not to try to keep running the damn thing!!Matt loves B15s heads, he has two, and was able to supply me a loaner. Yesterdays session, which included re-amping bass for 6 tunes, went on without a hitch! Thanks Blackie! Thanks Matt!

Mighty Toad Recording Studio

Welcome to Mighty Toad Recording Studio! Owned and Operated by Craig Dreyer Located in The South Slope area of Brooklyn, New York, we are just minutes from Manhattan. The studio has a fully sound-treated 20 x 25 live room, 10 x 10 vocal booth, 10 x 10 control room and also a small lounge. Record on Pro Tools HDX with 24 I/O for digital recording , or a Studer 827 24-track and a Studer 810 2-track for analog recording. Our vintage keys are a major feature; Yamaha C3 Grand, Hammond B3 Organ with a Leslie 122, Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Hohner Clavinet D6, and both an original Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 and Mini Moog Model D.

Analog and Vintage gear is our specialty and we have a great selection of tube amps and a fully stocked microphone cabinet including some great Neumann mics; U67, Fet 47, U87, and Sm-2. Go to our equipment page for a complete list of gear. Our goal is to create a relaxed environment to work. No stress here, just freedom to make some cool tunes in a retro-analog way.

RATES: 60$ per hour 2 hour minimum or 500$ per 10 hour lockout Lockouts are usually 12noon to 10pm All rates include engineer. Please read rates and studio policies on our rates page for complete information. There are no discounted rates if the client provides an engineer.
