From the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s, Kanude performed and released music on our label under the alias Val Holler. This is the first release of new music by the artist since 1998 which embodies his solo performances leading up to the formation of his short-lived band which released and EP and album in 1997 and 1998 respectively.

There was that time in December 2017 Kanude taught a sound healing class at Starbucks corporate in Seattle. He was too weird and “performance-like” some of the attendees reported to the talent buyer to be booked twice! Bwahaha!

Check out the new solo record “Entering Heaven Alive.”

This album shows again how vast his mastery of music is. He can rock out like the best MFer out there, and then he can deliver a record like this, which literally feels so gentle and sincere just ripping my heart out. Or more accurately, forcing me to slow down and be right with loving myself and embrace my tribe, new and old with love and vulnerability.
