Cool thing about the V251 circuit is the socketed high frequency EQ capacitor. So I went out and bought a bunch of capacitors to really dial in the top. I ended up tested a 150pf, 180pf, 200pf, 220pf, and 300pf. The capsule sounds great with the lowest roll off, and this isn’t to fix the top end of the mic but balance it with the low end. To me it feels like a slight tilt eq. Just from the quick test I feel like I’m in the 180-200pf range. I’ll really know after a couple vocal sessions.
