Micro gecko enclosure ASMR 🔊 these @HerpCult enclosures are perfect for my baby geckos and anoles as they're escape proof! This enclosure is being set up less tropical than the typical bioactive as these geckos thrive in conditions that are allowed to dry out when needed. I'm also using h**pcults's uva/uvb led light which is perfect for this enclosures needs! These geckos vary in age from a few days old to a few months old but an adult pair would thrive and breed in an enclosure like this. The plus is that they could breed in the enclosure and let the babies hatch naturally, and the babies wouldn't be able to walk out! #HerpTime #animals #reptile #lizard #gecko #terrarium #bioactive #asmr #satisfying

Some of my favorite species of micro geckos in this video 🔍 these particular little geckos all fall in the genus sphaerodactylus — "sphaero" means round, and "dactylus" is for finger... if you look closely they all have tiny round finger tips 😅 they have little sticky pads on each tip to scale nearly any surface! Species in order are ocujal, caicoensis, rosaurae, and alphus. #HerpTime #reptile #lizard #gecko #microgecko #babyanimals #cuteanimals #nature
Time to season some crickets 🦗🧂with some ZooMed Repti Calcium and Reptivite 💊 I always get asked “whats the white stuff?” when I post a feeding video: calcium and multivitamin. Specifically from @Zoo Med Laboratories, Inc. which is truthfully my favorite brand for supplements. I use these to enhance and enrich the feeder insects I give to my lizards. This is because the insects we feed in captivity don’t always necessarily contain all the vitamins and minerals our lizards would be eating in the wild, so adding it makes sure they get everything they need for healthy growth, bodily function, and successful reproduction. I prefer the ZooMed supplements not only because they fulfill the nutritional needs for my animals, and I’ve produced multiple healthy generation of lizard using almost exclusively these two products, but because it’s the best product I’ve found to stick to the feeders!! Effortlessly, the calcium and vitamins will attach to crickets or other feeders when shaken well, and will not come off for nearly an indefinite period of time! Other brands don’t adhere well or eventually start to fall off after a bit of time. I haven’t found that problem with this product! And I don’t think the lizards mind it one bit. I always get a kick out of watching my lizards eat, and I hope you will too, Enjoy! #HerpTime #reptile #lizard #asmr #satisfying

From egg 🥚 to baby 🦎 to adult 🥶 this is the Allison's anole (Anolis allisoni) native to Cuba 🇨🇺 these lizards hatch out looking very similar to a common green anole... but with maturity, things change! Allison not only get about double the size of the green anole but males develop blue coloration on the head and throughout the body. A stunning species that can learn to become very outgoing and tolerant of interaction. This is one species that draws a lot of people into the genus and for good reason! Theres nothing much cooler than a blue lizard 💙 #HerpTime #lizard #anole
Something a little different: going for a shaded hillside vibe in this beautiful terrarium built by @tamuradesigns 🦎 inspired by some scenes I’ve come across recently while h**ping. This little terrarium came out nice, my favorite parts being the contrast of the lichen covered rocks with the bright green temperate moss. The rocks also act as a retaining wall to hold up the soil above, if I did ever choose the plant heavier than the moss. I elected for some dried brush rather than live plants as this is not only easier but a little more natural based on the habitat I’m trying to mimic. Building an enclosure like this is super simple and easy, especially when you collect decor from outside! Going on a hike is a great way to get some exercise and find your next piece of wood for your terrarium 😉 just make sure you appropriately treat/cure it for your intended use. Some special little US native lizards will eventually go in here. I enjoy building these, hope you enjoy watching! #HerpTime #terrarium #vivarium #bioactive #reptile #asmr #satisfying
Baby Madrean alligator lizards (Elgaria king) from day they were laid as eggs to day they emerged out of them 🐣 don't get me wrong, I love anoles, but alligator lizards will always have a special place in my heart. Producing these was one of the more rewarding species hatched here and can't wait to raise all these little ones up to see how they turn out. Elgaria is just another genus that is very under appreciated and we don't realize just how amazing animals in our own backyards can be! #HerpTime #reptile #lizard
Sakishima bioactive build 🦎🌿 check it out in person at the @Reptile Super Show next weekend! This fun display enclosure courtesy of @Tamuradesigns is housing some of the most personable lizards for their size: the sakishima grass lizard , Takydromus dorsalis. An endangered species in their home island off of Japan, luckily they captive breed very easily and we can enjoy captive born generations to interact with! Following the Japanese theme, all the plants in this enclosure can be found in Japan and very well may be in the range of these beautiful little grass lizards. Adding springtails and isopods is only the first step of a bioactive, as the soil must mature with beneficial bacteria but it’s off to a great start to an easy to maintain and beautiful enclosure! #HerpTime #reptile #bioactive #bioactiveterrarium #lizard #asmr #satifying
Shipping this lizard was one of my biggest regrets 🤦♂️ this is how I package my animals for shipping across the country through FedEx using Redline Shipping 📦 an insulated box with a temperature controlling pack to regulate the heat pack I add, lots of paper for cushion, the animal safely placed in a deli cup, and all sealed up with labels indicating what animal is inside the box. I do it in this fashion for most lizards this size and smaller, no matter the monetary value. Luckily nothing went wrong and this amazing lizard got to its new home safe, but I trust Redline for shipping all my reptiles, especially one of a kind like this. I use Redline because of their great customer service if anything went wrong. This post is not sponsored or paid for. But I know if there was a delay or I needed to make an insurance claim, Robyn and the Redline team would have had me covered. Gives me a little more peace of mind shipping an animal like this through the mail. Especially when I wish I had kept it for myself 😆 #HerpTime #reptile #lizard #tokaygecko #unboxing #asmr #satisfying
Feeding these lizards never gets old! This giant 7ft+ terrarium is for an amazing group of lizards I hope to be able to share with many others! Huge thanks to Tamura Designs for creating an amazing product. Not only do the lizards like it but I do too! #HerpTime #reptile #lizard #terrarium
To many people these may be just a random boring lizard, but I see a micro crocodile with incredible color and personality! Aquatic and semi aquatic animals have always intrigued me as long as I can remember. And these lizard scratch that itch I have for an outgoing and beautiful semi aquatic display animal. These stream lizards, thought to be Potamites ecpleopus, most likely spec nova (a new species, yet to be formally described), are one of my favorite projects I’m working with. And what an honor to hatch some babies! This simpler set up will suit the babies for a little while until they gain some size and hardiness. I’ll also be able to monitor them easier and clean it easier as well. I’m hopeful to establish this species in the hobby, and if that’s a project you want in on make sure you keep in touch or check my morph market as I’m hoping some more adults will arrive soon. Establishing a field collected species into the captive hobby is easier with cooperation and collaboration. Even if just 2-3 of you find these mini crocs cool, I hope you consider joining me in learning about, keeping, and breeding them! #HerpTime #reptile #lizard #terrarium #paludarium #asmr
