For over five years, New York based Crown Infrastructure Solutions LLC (CIS) has been working diligently on a program that will provide much needed improvements to the New York City subway system at no cost to the MTA or the city. Media (PM). PM is an advertisement supported station improvement program specifically engineered to operate in the New York City Transit (NYCT) subway system. PM is centered on bringing increased safety, security and comfort to the station platform at no cost to the transportation service provider. This is made possible by integrating a digital entertainment network, which will broadcast programming and advertisements to the captive audience waiting on the station platform. This network will not only produce the cash flow to construct and sustain the system, but provide a generous revenue stream to the participating parties. The system is comprised of several components including monitors, which display a digital entertainment network, digital information displays, which provide detailed information on train service, destination arrival time, surveillance equipment and Platform Screen Doors (PSDs). CIS has additionally worked out a construction schedule that allows for the PSDs to be installed without causing any track outages of the MTAs current train schedules.
