🚨CHIEFS WIN 3RD SUPER BOWL IN FIVE YEARS!!!🚨

Congratulations to the The Kansas City Chiefs on winning their 4th Super Bowl in franchise history. The Chiefs walk off the 49ers on a game winning touchdown to Mecole Hardman for a final score of 25-22 in overtime, the first playoff game under the new overtime rules. It marks the third Super Bowl ring under the Mahomes-Andy Reid and Travis Kelce era. Patrick Mahomes has become the next generational quarterback. Mahomes also wins Super Bowl MVP for the third time by leading the game winning drive in OT!!!!

🚨NFL AWARDS NIGHT!!!🚨

Days before the 2023-24 Super Bowl between the Chiefs and 49ers, the NFL awards night recognized the best performances from this past regular season!!!

NFL MVP: Lamar Jackson wins his 2nd MVP award, beating out Dak Prescott and Brock Purdy. Jackson led the Ravens to an NFL best 13-4 while passing for 3,678 yards and 24 TDs while also rushing for 821 yards on the ground. It was great to see Lamar stay healthy this season en route to his second NFL MVP!!!

OPOY: Christian Mccaffrey- the San Francisco star running back is another guy that has finally stayed healthy this season and rolls into the Super Bowl in style taking home offensive player of the year!! Mccaffrey rushed for 1459 yards and 14 TDs on the ground while also catching 7 more TDs through the air!!!

DPOY: Myles Garrett wins this award after recording 14 sacks and 42 total tackles. He beats out Steelers star TJ Watt.

CPOY: Staying in Cleveland, Joe Flacco turned back the clock after spending the past two seasons on the Jets in which he looked like a shell of his old self, mostly due to the Jets lack of personnel around him. Signing with Cleveland mid season he helped steady the QB room for the Browns and led the team into the postseason. Overall Flacco passed for 1616 yards and 13 touchdowns in five games for Cleveland.

Coach of the year: It was an eventful night for the Browns whose head coach Kevin Stefanski earned coach of the year. The Browns overcame an incredible amount of adversity as they lost star running back Nick Chubb early in the season and were juggling the QB room with DeShaun Watson being unavailable due to injury for most of the year. Despite the loss of star power on offense at critical positions, the Browns finished 11-6 with a postseason appearance.

DROY: The Houston Texans magical season included a playoff win, and it came on the backs of two incredible rookies. Defensive lineman Will Anderson finished with 45 tackles and 7 sacks on a very impressive Texans defense.

OROY: The Texans sweep the rookie awards with QB CJ Stroud winning OROY. Stroud tossed for 4108 yards and 23 touchdowns!!

🚨RANGERS BEAT AVALANCHE IN OT!!🚨

In their first game since the all star break, the Rangers took down an Avalanche team that is second place in the Western conference!!! Artemi Panarin tied it at 1 in the third period before Alexis LaFreniere shot one past Colorado’s goaltender Alexandar Georgiev. Rangers goalie Jonathan Quick got an assist on the LaFreniere game winner!! Quick also made 31 incredible saves to propel the Rangers to victory. What a win over a great Colorado team!!!

SUPER BOWL MATCHUP SET!!!

The Kansas City Chiefs will look for back to back championships against a 49ers team looking for their 6th Super Bowl win in franchise history!!

AFC Championship: The Kansas City Chiefs rolled past the powerhouse Baltimore Ravens by a score of 17-10. The AFC title game was a game of mistakes, with Baltimore making several mistakes in the form of end zone turnovers and costly penalties, where as the Chiefs played a near perfect game as they were in control most of the game. Travis Kelce caught all 11 of his targets for 116 yards and Patrick Mahomes threw for 241 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah Pacheco added 68 yards on the ground with a TD!! Patrick Mahomes continues his unprecedented run of success as he had reached the Super Bowl for the 4th time, as he looks for his 3rd Super Bowl ring.

NFC Title game: Down 24-7 at Halftime, the San Francisco 49ers never said die as they outscored the Lions 27-7 in the second half. The defense was stout in the second half for San Francisco as Brock Purdy and the offense came alive to complete an incredible comeback. San Francisco looks to avenge a 31-20 loss in Super Bowl 54 to the Chiefs.

Now Brock Purdy, Mr Irrelevant of the 2022 NFL Draft, leads his star studded offense that boasts stars such as Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk and Christian Mccaffrey into a battle against one of the best QB-TE duos in Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. Not to mention this should be a battle of two great defenses. This should be a great matchup in Vegas!!!

🚨RANGERS RULE OUT CHYTIL FOR THE SEASON!!🚨

The New York Rangers have officially ruled out young center Filip Chytil for the remainder of the season. Chytil has not played since suffering a concussion against Carolina on November 2nd. The concussion was the 4th of Chytil’s career which of course is a huge concern for Chytil’s long term health off the ice. Chytil returned to the United States after rehabbing in his home in the Czech Republic and fell just two practices back with the Rangers. Whatever is next for Filip Chytil, I just hope he does the best for him and his long term health.

🚨RANGERS’ TROCHECK NAMED AN ALL STAR!!! 🚨

For the first time in his career Vincent Trocheck has been named an all star. Trocheck replaces Golden Knights star Jack Eichel en route to his first all star selection. For me, Trocheck has been the Rangers second best player this season behind Artemi Panarin. This season, playing on a line with Panarin and Alexis LaFreniere, Trocheck has compiled 15 goals and 29 assists for 44 points with a 62% face off win percentage. Congratulations to Vincent Trocheck on a great season so far and his first all star selection!!

Eagles center Jason Kelce hinted to teammates that he is retiring following the Eagles loss to the Buccaneers in the wildcard round. The 36 year old is a 6 time first team all pro and was a vital piece to the Eagles first franchise Super Bowl win in 2018. Kelce has hinted at retirement the last few years, but this time, he will retire. Congratulations to Jason Kelce on a terrific career. Get ready for the call from Canton in a few years!!

🚨WILDCARD WEEKEND SET🚨

Congratulations to the Buffalo Bills on winning the AFC East for a fourth straight season. The Bills won 5 straight to close out the year to jump from the 11 seed to the two seed, simply incredible.

As for the Wildcard matchups, I think the two that standout are the Dolphins and the Chiefs and Matthew Stafford and the Rams visiting the Detroit Lions. This should be an epic wildcard weekend!!!

JETS END LOSING STREAK TO PATRIOTS!!!

For the first time since 2015, the New York Jets have beaten the New England Patriots. The game meant absolutely nothing and both offenses couldn’t do anything outside of a big game for Breece Hall for the Jets. The game was 6-3 most of the game until the Jets pulled away with a field goal and a Breece Hall long touchdown. Hall finished with 37 rushes for 178 yards and a touchdown! Some Jets fans wanted to lose for the draft pick, but I’m happy to root for and get a long awaited win against the Patriots

Time to give Julius Randle some recognition. He has been the one to bring the Knicks back into relevancy. Since he has been a Knick he has been an offensive force and has at times carried the team throughout his stint with the Knicks. Without Randle, I don’t know that the Knicks ever sign Jalen Brunson. Since Randle has been a Knick, he has improved the product on the court. He has had his ups and downs but especially playing alongside Jalen Brunson now has allowed him to play his game and be in attack mode more often. Knicks will need him to step up in the postseason but Randle has become a star since joining the Knicks. This trade would’ve been a disaster

🚨KNICKS TRADE BARRETT AND QUICKLEY!!!🚨

The Knicks have trade guards Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett along with 1 future second round pick to the Toronto Raptors for guards OG Anunoby Precious Achiuwa and forward Matt Flynn.

This was a huge move for the Knicks as it pertains to the long term. The move was simply to clear cap space as the Knicks look to make a run at a big star alongside Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson. Also important to note that Jalen Brunson has a player option on the last year of his deal in the 2025-26 season and will likely opt out to look for a bigger deal. Hopefully the Knicks will look to extend him after this season to a bigger deal.

The Giants have announced Tyrod Taylor will start Sunday against the Rams!!! Taylor took over for rookie Tommy Devito Monday against the Eagles and went 7/16 while throwing for 133 yards 1 touchdown and one interception.

🚨YANKEES TRADE FOR JUAN SOTO!!!🚨

The New York Yankees have made a blockbuster trade as the team has agreed to a deal that brings superstar outfielder Juan Soto and outfielder Trent Grisham to the Bronx in exchange for pitchers Michael King, Jhony Brito, Randy Vazquez, prospect Drew Thorpe and catcher Kyle Higashioka!!! The 24 year old superstar played in 162 games with San Diego last season hitting 275 with 35 homeruns and 109 RBIs!!! Soto now joins a lineup with Aaron Judge, Anthony Rizzo, DJ LaMahieu, Giancarlo Stanton and eventually Jasson Dominguez. An earth shattering trade to end the winter meetings!!

The New York Knicks blow out the Charlotte Hornets winning by a total of 24 points. With this win the Knicks advance to a wildcard spot in the NBA in season tournament. Julius Randle led the way with 25 points and 20 rebounds as the Knicks took care of business at home. An all around solid night up and down the lineup for the Knicks tonight!!

🚨GERRIT COLE WINS CY YOUNG!!🚨

Congratulations to Yankees ace Gerrit Cole on capturing his first CY Young award!! Gerrit Cole was a shining star at the top of the Yankees rotation!! In 33 starts this year, Cole posted a magnificent 15-4 record with 2.63 era and 222 strikeouts in 209 innings pitched!!! He led the league in era, era+ and innings pitched!! He is everything Brian Cashman and the Yankees hoped they were getting when signing him to a massive 324 million dollar deal a few years ago!! Congratulations to Gerrit Cole!!!

The New York Jets have released running back Michael Carter. Carter, a third year running back out of North Carolina, has compiled 1,079 rushing yards on 269 attempts in two and a half seasons with the Jets. Carter’s release could be a sign that the Jets are ready to elevate rookie running back Izzy Akibanda as part of the offensive changes that the team has announced following another offensive no show in a 16-12 loss to Las Vegas on Sunday night football. With their playoff hopes slipping away, it’ll be interesting to see what other changes the Jets make going into next weeks game in Buffalo

Congratulations to Louis Domingue and the New York Rangers on another win tonight! For Domingue it’s his first as a Ranger and he was excellent. After a quiet first period in which he made one great save, Domingue notched 14 really good saves in the second period to keep the Blueshirts in it while Minnesota made their push!! The Rangers would respond big time in the third with goals from LaFreniere, Blake Wheeler (his first as a Ranger!!) and an empty netter by Artemi Panarin. Panarin extended his consecutive games with a point to 13, one off the club record. Vincent Trocheck scored the first goal for New York giving him three in the last two games and Alexis LaFreniere topped it off with the game winning goal and his first career 3 point game (1 Goal 2 Assists). All in all an incredible 4-1 win for the Blueshirts on garden ice!!! Luis Domingue made 26 saves in the win!!!

Congratulations to Mets star Francisco Lindor on winning his 3rd career silver slugger award. Lindor is coming off a great year as the Mets shortstop hit 254 with 31 homeruns 31 stolen bases while driving in 98 runs!! Lindor was probably the Mets most consistent hitter over the full season despite struggling early on. Lindor got particularly hot after the birth of his second child in June. Congratulations to Francisco Lindor on his great season. Hopefully the team can have better success next year.

🚨COREY SEAGER WINS WORLD SERIES MVP!!🚨

Congratulations to Texas Rangers Shortstop Corey Seager on winning the 2023 World Series MVP award!!! Throughout the series, Seager displayed gold glove defense while hitting 353 with three homeruns and 6 runs batted in to lead Texas to its first World Series victory in franchise history!!

🚨TEXAS RANGERS WIN 1ST WORLD SERIES!!!🚨

For the first time in franchise history, congratulations to the for winning the 2023 World Series!!!! From 68 wins in 2022 and now just one year later winning 90 regular season games and absolutely dominating the postseason as the Rangers went 13-4 including seven straight wins to open the postseason, a truly incredible run for the Rangers!!! Congratulations to the Rangers organization from the ownership, the front office to the coaching staff to the players and also the fans!!! Rangers manager Bruce Bochy wins his 4th World Series title!!! Former Mets Travis Jankowski, Max Scherzer and Jacob Degrom are now world champions!!

The New York Giants have traded DL Leonard Williams to the Seattle Seahawks for a 2024 second round pick and a 2025 5th round pick!! With yesterdays debacle against the Jets, and the Giants essentially down to their third string quarterback with a 2-6 record, it wouldn’t be surprising to see more expiring contracts get sold off. Solid return for Williams who has amassed 21 total tackles and 1.5 sacks in 8 games with the Giants this season!!! With the trade deadline being tomorrow at 4 pm, what happens with star running back Saquon Barkley will be very interesting.

🚨JETS BEAT GIANTS IN UGLY WIN!!!🚨

In one of the ugliest games I’ve ever seen in any sport in my life, the Jets found a way to defeat the Giants on a game winning field goal by Greg Zuerlein in overtime. Zach Wilson struggled for most of the day but made some nice throws on the last drive of regulation and overtime while being helped out by an awful pass interference penalty committed by the Giants DB Adoree Jackson.

For the Giants, Tyrod Taylor left the game due to injury and the Giants allowed 3rd string QB Tommy Devito to attempt 1 pass in the entire second half. Giants would call 3 screen passes in overtime to go three and out and set up the Jets for the game winning field goal.

🚨TEXAS RANGERS WIN THE AMERICAN LEAGUE PENNANT!!!🚨

For the first time since 2011, the Texas Rangers are heading back to the World Series!!! The Rangers lead from start to finish tonight winning game 7 11-4!!!! The Rangers bounced back from a stunning loss in game 5 to win games 6-7 in Houston as they take down the defending champion Houston Astros!!! Texas manager Bruce Bochy remains unbeaten in game 7s!!

🚨ADOLIS GARCIA WINS ALCS MVP!!🚨

Adolis Garcia takes home the ALCS MVP Trophy hitting 5 clutch homeruns (2 tonight) and driving in 15 runs. Garcia has homered in 4 straight games!!’

🚨JETS TAKE DOWN THE NFC CHAMPS!!!🚨

The Jets with an absolute stunner at MetLife as the Jets defense pitches a shutout in the second half against the Philadelphia Eagles!! The Jets forced 4 Eagles turnovers and didn’t turn the ball over themselves as the defense with an incredible effort with their top 3 CBs (Sauce Gardner, DJ Reed and Brandon Eichols). Any given Sunday!! There are now no more undefeated teams in 2023. Jets head into their bye week on an incredible note!!!

🚨RANGERS WIN OPENING NIGHT🚨

Early goals, blocked shots, and good defensive pressure helped the Rangers dominate the Buffalo Sabres in Buffalo to open the season!!! Chris Kreider had two goals for New York including a shorthanded goal. Alexis LaFreniere, Artemi Panarin and Jacob Trouba (empty net goal) also scored for New York. The Rangers penalty kill was 3-3 in the game and had 22 blocked shots to help their cause. Igor Shesterkin made good saves when he needed to as he made a total of 23 saves as the Rangers pick up two points to open the season!!!
