Clinically proven efficacy this study was carried out on 95 mature women mean-aged 55 years old, randomized in parallel groups to receive a once a day 2,5g dose of specific fish collagen peptides (Naticol ®) or the placebo for 12 weeks. Skin biomechanics and clinical assessment of the facial wrinkles (crow’s-feet and perioral) and skin complexion homogeneity were evaluated.
* SKIN FIRMNESS IMPROVEMENT : The skin biomechanics results indicated a significant improvement of skin firmness for Naticol ® after 8 and 12 weeks. Clinical score for facial wrinkles (Crow’s feet) Clinical evaluation of.
* DECREASE OF CROW’S FEET: The clinical assessment of the perioral and Crow’s feet wrinkles from baseline showed a significant decrease of the mean score of wrinkles at week 12.
* SKIN COMPLEXION AND RADIANCE: Skin complexion homogeneity was significantly increased for 2,5g/d Naticol ® after Week 8. Same results were obtained about skin radiance after 8 weeks (Naticol ® demonstrated a significant increase).
* JOINT HEALTH: Type 1 collagen is widely present in bones, tendons and ligaments. Naticol® can provide the amino acids which make up collagen in these tissues. Fish collagen peptides may also increase the dietary absorption of calcium . In vivo studies showed benefits of Naticol.
*WEIGHT MANAGEMENT: The results of oral ingestion of Naticol® on a daily basis, showed that regular intake of Naticol® Fish collagen peptides may improve the cholesterol levels, help to support normal blood glucose and weight management.. The study objective was to evaluate the effects of an oral intake of Naticol® fish collagen peptides (daily diet containing 2,5% of Naticol®) on body weight composition, serum insulin, glycemia and cholesterolemia.
