ill never forget this day—it’s burned into my memory forever. So there I was, working late at the office, when out of nowhere, I got this cryptic text on my phone: “Check your email; you need to see this!”
My heart was in my throat. What could possibly be so urgent? With a mix of curiosity and dread, I opened my email.
And there they were—fifteen photos staring back at me. I clicked on the first one, and my whole world started to fall apart. There was Catherine, my wife, with my boss. They were at a restaurant, laughing like they didn’t have a care in the world. My stomach dropped as I clicked through more photos: them in a car together, then hugging, kissing, and finally entering a hotel. The last picture was the one that shattered me. They were in bed together. My hands were shaking so hard, I almost dropped my phone. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
Desperate for answers, I texted the person who sent them. The reply came almost instantly, “Meet me at your boss's house. You need to know the truth.”
Without thinking, and driven by pure fear and anger, I rushed to my boss’s address, completely unaware that I was about to make the biggest mistake of my life.👇
