It's one of the earliest productions by Dutch producer Patrick Prins who went onto big things recording under the names Movin' Melodies, and The Ethics ('La Luna') among a bunch of other monikers.

In 1994 New York's Junior Vasquez was at the height of his career as the resident at the Sound Factory NYC - legendary for his weekly 12+ hour sets.
Junior helped cement tribal house in the story of 1990s house. This mix was created by him as a label profile when Tribal America Records' sister label Tribal United Kingdom was launched. The mix was accompanied by an exclusive vinyl double-pack with music by Danny Tenaglia DJ, Eric Kupper, Pato Banton/Roger Sanchez.

Salt City Orchestra's debut record in 1994 was something quite special. UK's Hard Times club resident DJs Miles Hollway and Elliot Eastwick, along with Simon Bradshaw found a perfect balance in this genre-bending blend of big-room house, tribal warmth and jazzy themes.
All three went on to amazing production careers under various names including Wastepaper, Cine City, Attaboy, Departure Lounge, House of 909, T-Empo and more.

Three years ago this week one of the greatest drummers in history passed away.
Tony Allen, from Nigeria, was a self-taught drummer who went on to play drums on over 30 Fela Kuti albums, performed live with Moritz Von Oswald, recorded with Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, and released more than 20 of his own albums!

First released on Volume Records, Belgium in 1993, Subliminal Cuts "The Dance" landed on Tribal America in 1994 with remixes of two of the EP's tracks. It's a swoony, groover with subtle (subliminal) nods to the rave sound big at the time. 🤖

The first single on Tribal America in August 1991 - Rockers Uptown "Magnificent" feat Gwen Dupree.
This is also one of Roger Sanchez's earliest productions too. American house at the time was hopelessly lost in skippy, poppy, vocal washouts and the whole of Europe was disappearing into techno and harder house. Rockers Uptown provided the first step on the Tribal America magnificent journey.
