Founded in 1986 by Jen Jones as the ultimate DYI, Stupid Records has released two 12" singles from rap acts. A new CD for The Wi***es is due Fall '15!

Femme Fatales, 'I Need A Date', and Monay 'Choke On This'. In the early 90's Jen's song 'The Way You Make Me Feel' was released by Tara Kemp on Warner's, and Shy Girl Publishing retained all rights. Tara had a Billboard #1 hit with 'Hold You Tight' on the same record. In 1998 Stupid Records/Shy Girl Publishing released the first of 5 CDs for The Camaros. 'Evil' was produced by Dae Bennett (Amy Win

ehouse, Tony Bennett) and distributed by Hep Cat. Several of the songs were included on compilations from Universal Music Group to the 'Swing Sucks' series. Stupid Records most recent release is The Wi***es 'Southern Standard'. Their song South Coast Go Go was recently featured in the #1 spot on the No Depression music page. Frontman Dave Willie joined the label in 2004 and brought solid design skills and great songs. The release of 'Jazz Age Thump', in 2013, was well received by critics, and The Wi***es continue to spead the Nola swing meets Punk-rock, with solid sales.
