I would like to take the time to thank everyone at Orlando Health Southlake Hospital ER, cath lab and cardiogy. You saved my life. Literally.
On December 30th of 2023 I called an ambulance to come and get me. Thought it might be acid reflux or heartburn. I couldn't have been more wrong.
You see, I had a heart attack in the ambulance. I woke up NYE in ICU. Man was I sore. I won't go in to great details but I had to have 2 stents put in my heart. I flat lined twice. Went into tachycardia and they had to hit me 14 times with the defribulator to attain normal sinus rhythm.
You to all the ICU nurses you have my everlasting love and gratitude. You see, unbeknownst to me my nurse had gathered a whole bunch of people who came to countdown the New Year. What I did not expect was all 30+ people to break out in to Happy Birthday at midnight. I was speechless and in tears.
To all who had anything to do with me for those couple of days. THANK YOU!!!!!
I was released on my birthday with 2 stents and a new lease on life. You have my undying gratitude.

READ IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE AND THOSE OF PEOPLE YOU LOVE Let's say it's 6:15pm and you're going home (alone of course), after an unusually hard day on the job. You're really tired, upset and frustrated. Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to drag out into your arm and up into your jaw. You are only about five miles from the hospital nearest your home. Unfortunatel...y you don't know if you'll be able to make it that far. You have been trained in CPR, but the guy that taught the course did not tell you how to perform it on yourself. HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack, without help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness. However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously. A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest. A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again. Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital. Tell as many other people as possible about this. It could save their lives!! A cardiologist says If everyone who gets this shares it with 10 people, you can bet that we'll save at least one life. Rather than sharing jokes please.. share this which can save a person's life!!!!

Memorial Day 2011. Let's get off our "high horses." Let all the politicians and politician wanna-be's in this country shut their mouths for one day as we stand at the graves of real heros. Let's at least several times today thank God for the abundance that He has allowed us to enjoy and ask forgiveness for our greed. Yet, in all, let's thank Him for the spirit of courage and freedom that has led many to sacrifice their lives - in and out of uniform - for the cause of human freedom everywhere. NightRide USA Radio salutes the heros of our country past and present who have given their lives in many ways, including the many who have given up the lives they had and have had to find new ways to live in the wake of failed marriages, lost limbs, sickness all because they answered the call. For each of you who stand with us in this, kindly indicate it here. God bless all who are committed to the human freedom He meant EACH of us to enjoy responsibly and humbly. As a young man who had lost his life in Vietnam was being placed on a chopper, the question was asked, "How old is he?" The answer .... "He's as old as you get."
