MISING PERSON:

Sheriff Craig Webre is asking for the public's help in locating 32-year-old Cullan Fredrick Folse of Raceland. He was last seen in Raceland on July 2, 2024. The vehicle he is known to drive, a white 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, LA plate C938182, was last known to be on Airline Highway in Jefferson Parish, near the Metairie/New Orleans line. Folse is 5'9" tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds with brown hair. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 532-2808, or simply dial 911.

Joe Bonsall, a tenor singer and longtime member of the Oak Ridge Boys, died on Tuesday (July 9) of complications from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS.) He was 76 years old.

His death was announced in a statement from the band's publicity team. Bonsall announced his retirement from touring back in January due to the progression of his illness.

Born on May 18, 1948, in Philadelphia, Penn., Bonsall spent five decades as an Oak Ridge Boys member, singing on hits such as "Elvira," "Bobbie Sue" and "American Made." As part of his work with the group, he was a member of the Grand Ole Opry, the Philadelphia Music Hall of Fame, the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. In 2015, he and his bandmates were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

At 853 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles south of Amelia, or 14 miles south of Morgan City, moving north
at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Morgan City, Patterson, Berwick, Stephensville, Bayou Vista, Amelia,
Patterson Memorial Airport, Bayou Geneve, and Centerville.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office advises that LA 182 at the Bayou Ramos bridge is completely shut down due to a single vehicle accident.

The driver left the scene, but is now in custody

DOTD has been notified due to damage done to some of the barriers as well as them needing to be placed back into the correct position.
