Brands or branding originates with cattle ranchers, who would brand their name or mark on to their cattle so that someone could tell one ranch’s cattle from another’s.

Branding is also important in this way for your business. Think of it as a way for people to see it and know it is your business without having to look it up. Strong branding is strong company recognition.

Tips for paid ads and boosted posts:

🌿 Set your budget and make it span over several days to create a larger reach.
🌿 Choose your target audience, get specific. Choose locations, age range, interests, etc.
🌿 Choose great photos, make sure you catch their attention!
🌿 Decide your goal…more clicks on your website, more followers, etc. Then choose that option for the call to action.
🌿 Keep the caption short. Get to the point so they click that ad to find out more!

Here are three caption ideas to encourage engagement and make your followers interested in what you are sharing on social media.

👉 Tell a story: make it encouraging, funny, or part of your journey to where you are today.
👉 Share information: Give your followers information about something you specialize in.
👉 Call to action: Talk about services you offer and how it benefits others, then encourage them to get in touch.

Your time is valuable, and when it comes to social media it is easy to waste it. Think about it.....30 minutes contemplating whether or not you need to make a post for your business. 30 minutes choosing and editing the image or video you think would make for a great post. 1 hour scrolling and liking posts others have made. 30 minutes trying to write that perfect caption and picking hashtags to reach your target audience. That’s 2 hours to make a single post. Did you reach your target audience? Did you post in your optimal posting window? At Covey, we take on the responsibility of creating and managing so you can spend your time working on what matters most to you.

Instagram is ever changing and sometimes it is hard to keep up. A few recent changes have come in the form of photos and video.

➡️ When possible upload your images in portrait size, or make them as big as Instagram will let you, this way people will see an extended view of each photo when they click on them.

➡️ All videos, even older ones, have been converted into reels. This allows for a larger reach. If you have previous video content that was not originally a reel and you would like to re-visit, give them a little re-vamp and share them again!
