First time out today with the new Josephson C617SET high voltage omnis. Piano session with Kwi-im Kim at CCM. Ahhh.... these are wonderfully detailed mics, besting the vaunted DPA 4006. Looking forward to using these on the many wonderful musicians I regularly record!

A brilliant sunrise greeted us to start a lengthy day trip (4.5 hr drive each way!) to Battle Creek MI to wrap up Yun Kim's new Raven CD project, "Wild Card". Recorded the rarely heard Bach BWV566a, to add to the rest of her previously recorded program of spectacular and virtuosic, yet oft-neglected, "surprising" works for organ. Amazing organ by Dobson. Looking forward to this one!
