Two boaters were rescued by U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) aircrews on Sunday during Hurricane Debby.

FROM THE MOBILE POLICE BLOTTER🚨:

On Saturday, August 3, 2024, at approximately 10:58 a.m., officers responded to Stone Ridge Apartments, 1200 Somerby Drive in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a male deceased from a gunshot wound inside of an apartment unit.

Upon further investigation, officers discovered the deceased male forced his way into the unit to confront a known individual when a second individual inside of the unit shot him. The deceased has been identified as Jermaine Thomas, 25. At this time, officers continue to search for the subject.

This remains an active investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
