In a post to social media Saturday, Mobile rapper Honeykomb Brazy revealed a record deal with Birdman and Cash Money Records — a New Orleans-based hip-hop label that has fostered some of the genre’s biggest names, including Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj.

Brazy is currently incarcerated in Monroe County on federal gun charges.
