ONE SGT NAMED KIOSKI has been denying prisoners their meal packs during Ramadan (using fake ass infractions such as wearing the wrong shoes to chow line) which is in complete violation of federal prisoners protections around religious practices AND WI administrative code! PLEASE CALL THE WARDEN TO FILE A COMPLAINT - MUSLIM PRISONERS ARE GOING HUNGRY!!!

If you live or will live in county supervisor willie Johnson’s district, please sign and share this petition to pressure him to vote yes on resolution 21-763 to provide 75 free phone and video call minutes each month to prisoners held inside the county jail and HOC! We need him to vote yes on February 3rd so time is of the essence!

Hey yall! Keeping with the anarchist holiday tradition of prisoner solidarity, we are holding a NOISE DEMO outside the maximum prison in Waupun on New Years Eve from 5-6pm.

Make sure to spread the word, bring some superb noise making devices, or fireworks, or whatever your little hearts desire so we can be heard by the folks inside to remind them that they are not forgotten and to let the CO's and Wardens know that we will not stop until everyone is free!

We’re coordinating rides for people from milwaukee up, so if you have a vehicle and can give someone a ride or if you need a ride please feel free to DM us!

Milwaukee has a county board member who is willing to push on defunding law enforcement. Contact yours and demand they support these amendments to David Crowley’s pro-cop proposed county budget.

“[Crowley’s] recommended budget proposes a $3 million, 6% increase to the MCSO operating budget and nearly $700,000 for an array of surveillance cameras on the lakefront… [Clancy’s amendment] package includes measures to build playgrounds and park infrastructure, allow pools to open, provide intervention for people dealing with op**te addiction, bolster the county’s Credible Messenger program, provide increased benefits to county employees, expand the Park Rangers program, expand opportunities for people incarcerated by the county, and more… The County Board’s Finance Committee will consider budget amendments from Supervisors over four meetings taking place Tuesday, October 26; Wednesday, October 27; Thursday, October 28; and Wednesday, November 3. The County Board will hold its annual public hearing on the budget on Monday, November 1. The Board will adopt the annual budget on Monday, November 8.”

Contact your county supervisor now! Tell them to cosponsor! Attend the hearing Nov 1 and demand they pass these amendments!

NOTE DATE CHANGE! Sheriff Earnell Lucas and his toady Ted Chisholm have been teaming up with private companies to exploit Milwaukee families for years. We can make them stop! At the county jail and house of corruption (HOC) people who want to talk to their families need to use services provided at exploitative rates by private companies, who kick some of their profits back to Lucas and Chisholm at the county sheriff’s office (MCSO).

On Friday October 29th county board’s judiciary, safety, and general services committee (JSGC) will hear a resolution that will give free phone calls and video visits to reduce the harm of broken families. Contact members of the committee and demand they vote in favor! Link in bio for instructions. The testimony date was changed last minute, the resolution will be heard on 29th at 10:30 am, not the 21st at 1:30!

No, I will not sit down and have an in-person conversation with the man. The man is a cop, anything I or anyone says to him can and will be used against us. The man has forsaken humanity and set himself apart, turned himself into a tool of state violence, a walking talking threat, an enemy of the people.

I do not want to hear his promised plans for the city I live in. I’ve heard him lie and hide truths enough already.

No cop for mayor means no cop for mayor. It means we can never trust someone who chooses to suspend their agency and remake themself as a tool of state violence. No cop for mayor means I will not sit down and have a conversation with the man until he retires and leaves the possession of the state. Until then, every word he utters is a threat, and every word he hears is surveillance.

But do capitalist businesses (whoever owns them) create a solid economic base, or yawning inequality, displacement, and increased stress?

These millions are coming from federal covid recovery money. If they are going to business owners, rather than essential workers and marginalized people who bore the brunt of the pandemic and accompanying economic bamboozle, then they are only reinflating the old, deadly socioeconomic relations. That is, a precarious and explotative economy that continues to make covid much more deadly than it otherwise might be.

Can we do better? Apparently not. Do we want better? Let’s see.

“We want the public to know that this prison is operating illegally and the state government is keeping it open while also trying to find a way to build new prisons to abuse children in. Lincoln Hills & Copper Lake must close, and the youths must be sent home to their families.

The child abuse committed at these facilities that was discovered after numerous investigations was so bad even former Wisconsin governor Scott Walker said it needed to be closed.”

Email follow up of our demands from Saturday. We cannot wait for laws to pass or bureaucratic culture to shift. We cannot wait for Evers to secure his second term. He’s done nothing to stop the rising prison population since he came into office in January 2019. He must pardon people now, and change revocation policy now. People are dying.

We cc’d , sec Kevin Carr, Sarah Cooper from adult institutions, Lance Weirsma from community supervision, and Ron Hermes from the youth system.

Then we sent copies to the warden of every prison in WI.

We've got fairly ambitious plans. There is a lot of racism, abuse, and torment in the Wisconsin prison system that needs to be exposed. If you are not able to join the organizing efforts but want to support, we would really appreciate some donations.

The money is being handled by Tai Cassandra, a formerly incarcerated person of color with years of organizing experience. If anyone wants more transparency or other ways to donate and support, please contact them!

Starting September 30, 2021, the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC) will move to a single contract with Union Supply to serve the nearly 19,000 people incarcerated in prisons throughout our state. This is a drastic reduction for the Wisconsin DOC who currently has three contracts with Milwaukee-based JL Marcus, Keefe Commissary Network, and California-based Union Supply. We are gravely concerned about what this will mean for access and affordability of basic hygiene personal items.
