Last night was Practical Night at Phoenix Range in the UK where we mixed it up a little from the standard El Presidente we usually run to keep things fresh.
The video is Bogdan competing in the second leg of a modified “El Presidente” type stage. Each competitor completed two runs, which started with one round on each of 3 metric targets, mandatory reload and reengage the same three targets with a further three rounds. Their second run had to be fired from the opposite shoulder. The D scoring zone was also made a no shoot area.
Competitors could use either their own firearms or the club supplied M&P 15/22 “Muddy Girl”.
The consensus from the members was that despite it being harder, it made them think more about how to complete the stage. Overall the competitors all said that they enjoyed it.
As we progress with the Practical Competiton evenings we are building the experience of the members some of whom have only been shooting for a matter of weeks and months.
