Another Doc and Dog Movie Review
This one is for the new film "Twisters" and is a Spoiler Free Review

Characters
Twisters is a film about two competing teams of tornado experts chasing tornadoes. there is a hugs focus on Kiernan Shikas character "Kate". At first she's kind of boring but her character definitely picks up as the movie goes on and really earns my respect.She has a real heroes journey arc. The two leaders of the tornado expert groups are "Javi" played by Anthony Ramos and "Tyler" played by Glen Owens.. There are some cool twists to their characters and I really liked seeing what the plot did with them. All of the cast brought an awesome performance.

Scares
The beginning scene sets the tone for how scary this film can get, some people put these Twister films in the Horror category, I would call it a good action film that feature some intense scares. There are some sit on the edge of your seat moments because you get invested in the characters and you never know whos gonna go next.

NOTE:Speaking of the other tornado movies,you do not have to watch any of them to enjoy this film. This is a Stand alone sequel that works fine without watching the other Twister.

Special Effects
Cool! We get some explosions and of course some tornados. Its a sight to see , I may go watch it again just because it was so cool to look at.

Romance: Im not a romance fan but the romance aspect of the film was intriguing. In my opinion it took up a little too much time but Im biased.

Final Opinion Great movie that can be very intense. Easily 3 out of 4 stars.

Heres another Doc and Shadow . Finally got around to watching new movie .
Kind of a slow start to the movie , but cool characters . There are a few scares along the way with some creepy descent special effects. There is a big mystery surrounding the plot but once its revealed its a little underwhelming, but the twist that comes after makes up for it.
Lately Ive had no patience to sit through movies I thought were no good, but I was able to sit through this one and get into the story with no problem.
I rate this movie a 8 out of 10 . If you are just looking for a pop corn flick to keep you invested with a couple of good scares check it out.

Nowadays, we need more honorable people like this..
Remember the Kenyan runner: Abel Mutai who was just a few feet from the finish line, but became confused with the signage and stopped, thinking he had completed the race? A Spanish runner: Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him and, realizing what was happening, started shouting at the Kenyan to continue running. Mutai didn't know Spanish and didn't understand. Realizing what was taking place, Fernandez pushed Mutai to victory.
A journalist asked Ivan, "Why did you do that?"
Ivan replied, "My dream is that someday we can have a kind of community life where we push and help each other to win."
The journalist insisted "But why did you let the Kenyan win?"
Ivan replied, "I didn't let him win, he was going to win. The race was his."
The journalist insisted, and again asked, "But you could have won!"
Ivan looked at him and replied, "But what would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honor in that medal? What would my Mother think of that?"
Values are passed on from generation to generation.
What values are we teaching our children? Let us not teach our kids the wrong ways and means to WIN.
Instead, let us pass on the beauty and humanity of a helping hand. Because honesty and ethics are WINNING!

Recently a good friend of mines (he’s more like a brother) lost his car in a car . Earlier this week I called him to let him know that our non profit was able to get him another car. He answered back via text that he would call me back ….and never did …

I give this movie a 1 out of 4 … while the trailer and name promise a movie about a civil war .. it’s instead a movie about a group of journalists watching a merciless take over of the United States .. and I do mean merciless ..

even when the USA cowers and tries to give up .. the rebels won’t accept it wanting to kill everyone instead …

Watching this film will give you great stuff like American soldiers being stood up In a line and butchered only to have the “impartial” journalists talk about what a rush it was and cheer after.. we get to watch the journalists cry in just about every other scene .. oh do they cry ..

Sun-up with Shadow, … this has been a big change .. for about 7 years my hospital job has had me going to sleep after my late shift at about 1-2 sometimes 3 am …/ now for my new job I find myself waking up at 5 am ..: it’s really thrown my sleep off leaving me very tired .. but at least during our morning walks I get to see awesome sun ups !

Hosts Daniree and Dro will interview Camilo about this great program that assists Vets in everything from job training and transportation to housing and counseling.. check it on Local Legends Feb 16th! On March 2nd Hosts Daniree and Dro will interview the infamous CHRIS SPALLINA who will tell us about his work with THE Phoenix NJ, a community program for individuals recovering from a substance use disorder and those who choose to live sober. These guys do everything fun from mountain climbing to meditation and are amazing at what they do! So check out his interview on Local legends March 2nd May I add that Chris and Camilo are truly valued partners in our NJVN programs. Chris Braitch is the president of Strangers Helping Strangers a non profit that amongst other things helps distribute free food to local first responders and local people in need. This has included dozens of Veterans in NJVN programs.Every week hot meals, produce and groceries are handed out by his team to anyone who could use it.
