Thoughtful Expressions was built to provide positive, edifying personalized gifts to be a source of encouragement and a daily reminder. The idea for the product came about after I reread The Circle Maker (affiliate link) by Mark Batterson. In the book, Mark recounts one of his daughter's birthdays. He, his wife and several close friends wrote down positive, uplifting words to describe his daughte
r. They later put the words together in a piece of art that was presented to her and now hangs in her bedroom where she can look at it and think on those positive words. Driving my normal hour plus long commute to work, I was listening to The Ziglar Show Podcast episode called The most life changing thing you’ll ever encounter in which they opt to share the infamous Ziglar Self-Talk Cards (NOT an affiliate link) with their audience. If you have not listened to that episode, I highly recommend it. Anyway, after using the cards for several months, and rereading The Circle Maker I decided to create my first Thoughtful Expressions word cloud for my daughter, Emily. I want her to grow up with a positive self-image, and what better way than to give her positive words to think on. The words used in these personalized word clouds are encouraging, uplifting, and edifying. As Philippians 4:8 (NIV) says, "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."
