⭐ Meet Mason Huff, a University of Kentucky student who spent his summer painting over 130 mailboxes in Lake Forest. What started as a way to earn extra money turned into a rewarding experience, balancing work with time at the lake and on the golf course. Now majoring in Finance and Accounting, Mason is building a future based on hard work and passion.

⭐ This month’s Making a Difference feature highlights the incredible volunteer efforts of Lake Forest's own Celtic Knights from St. Patrick and St. Michael. These young athletes are champions on and off the field!

Recently, they stepped up to volunteer at the Ironman Louisville triathlon, supporting athletes at the finish line with water, nutrients, and encouragement.

Earlier this season, the 5th-grade team gathered school supplies to support students in need and even helped organize for the school year with the St. Patrick PTO. Their dedication to the community is inspiring!

🎃🍂 Fall is in the air, and what better way to celebrate than with a slice of Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake? This delightful treat was suggested by resident Amanda Howell and is perfect for your next potluck or cozy gathering. It’s so easy to throw together!

Ingredients:

1 (18 1/4 oz) package yellow cake mix
1 egg
2 sticks melted and divided butter
1 (15 oz) can pumpkin
1 (8 oz) package softened cream cheese
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (16 oz) box powdered sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 °F.
Combine cake mix, 1 stick melted butter, and 1 egg in a bowl and mix well. Pat the mixture into a lightly greased 13×9-inch baking pan.
For the filling, beat the cream cheese and pumpkin until smooth. Add 3 eggs, vanilla, and the remaining stick of melted butter; mix well.
Stir in powdered sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread the pumpkin mixture over the cake batter.
Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, making sure not to overbake - the center should be a little gooey. Serve with fresh whipped cream and enjoy!

This April, 130 men gathered in LaGrange, KY for F3 Louisville’s Spring Convergence, blending Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith to raise $8,700 for the Institute for Shelter Care, which fights against human trafficking. 🎨 👻 Get crafty with Sai and Ram as they show us how to make these fun glue ghosts! All you need are a few simple supplies: glue, a Ziplock bag or sheet protector, googly eyes, and glitter! Directions: Place the Ziplock bag or sheet protector on a table. (Plastic wrap works too!) With glue, draw an outline of a ghost. Fill in your outline with glue, making sure it’s thick enough.
