The Beer Baseball Blog Story
Welcome to the Beer Baseball Blog. I am a child of the ‘70s who grew up collecting baseball cards, drawing team logos and listening to Vin Scully on AM radio. These days, I’m a seasoned graphic designer with a teenage son and a very supportive girlfriend named Melissa.
Melissa and I run a Creative Content Marketing & Solutions Agency called Nerdy Connections in Pasadena, CA. We have many great clients. One of them is named ‘Tap & Cheer’ that runs Craft Beer events with the Los Angeles Brewers Guild. We were exposed to many great craft breweries from San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Through those connections, we traveled to Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oregon, Nevada, Massachusetts, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, and New York to enjoy more fantastic craft beers and meet the great people that brew it.
It was when we were at The Tap Room at Chase Field in Phoenix in 2015 that we came up with the concept to combine my love of baseball with my new love of craft beer. The Beer Baseball Blog idea was born. It took a year to develop, and we launched April 2016 with a website, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube page.
My goals are: 1) Create a fun and supportive community. 2) Have a place to share my past baseball experiences and future baseball adventures. 3) Share artwork, logos, and pictures from baseball’s past and present. 4) Sample craft beer, eat great food and share the fantastic artwork from ballparks and/or breweries from around the world. 5) Make and share my own artwork.
