Jeremiah Pitts (JRiggady) is the radio show host for The Writer’s Bloc. Music, politics, technology, sports and life is what he presents to his listeners. Navy veteran and Humanist; JRiggady loves freedom and liberty. Coming from the East Coast, moved from South Philly to LA to pursue a promising life on the West Coast. The Writer’s Bloc is all about the fresh new music it pla

ys on its show. The gritty show reminds listeners of the 90s, but also has a fresh, future perspective. Celebrity interviews are the norm and we use them to try to show the guest’s human side. Sports are discussed, and technology is a passion. As a political science student at CSUDH, politics is another focal point of the show. Overall, the show is well produced and it will entertain, inform, and make you laugh. For two hours, the show will make you feel as if you are hanging out with some friends. Dr. John Cutler of the Public Health Service headed the Guatemalan experiments. Cutler would later be involved in the now-infamous (and more well-known) Tuskegee experiments in which hundreds of African Americans with syphilis were studied without being provided treatment for the disease.

The Guatemala inoculation experiments entailed a series of human rights violations that reminds us of the dangers involved in allowing scientific knowledge and national security to justify what the New York Times called, in 1947, “ethically impossible” actions.
