The second installment of the Godfather trilogy contained a multitude of Coppola's signature dissolves. With hundreds of transitions, the scratches on these opticals were in the thousands. Our team was proud to be a part of the 2022 restoration of this film classic and the scratch removal tool in our DRSNova software was our secret weapon.

News: Popular cinema of this sort in Mexico hasn’t typically received the same respect as classics of the industry’s Golden Age in the 40s and 50s. But recent critical attention and new restorations have shone a new spotlight on these movies. Recently restored, “The Batwoman” (1968), will see its first Blu-ray edition of the restoration, which García Besné made sure was faithful to the brighter colors the original film aspired to.

Recently restored, “The Batwoman” (1968) stars Maura Monti in the title role. The actress’s own story could be a movie, too.

CinemaScope Makes its Big Debut On September 16th in 1953 20th Century Studios released a movie that would make a large and lasting impact on the film industry. The movie was "The Robe" and the impact was CinemaScope.

While was undergoing its first high resolution restoration, we discovered a production issue that had never been seen before. A shutter problem with one of the cameras that created an intermittent ghosting effect that was now visible for the first time in 4K. Our team of restoration artists at painstakingly went through each frame, repairing the issue using MTI Nova software.
